iMeasure-Floor Plan

I manage a rental property and need to draw a floor plan. Found this app and gave it a try. Pretty easy to use. Errors within an inch (double checked with a measuring tape). Although I’m not a real estate agent, I can’t imaging that anybody working in real estate does not have a tool like this! Wish list - undo, delete point? Export to PDF (editable in photoshop?). I ended up exporting the png file to Illustrator, using the tracing function to convert it to vector graphs and manually scaling the dimensions properly. Overall I’m happy with it.

We are buying new equipment and shelving for our lab and need to move our work stations around to fit the new equipment. This will be handy to visualize where everything will fit. With a steady hand i was able to be within an inch for measuring walls (i double checked with a tape measure). But you can also do quick measurements to get the basic shape of the room and adjust the lengths after the drawing of your room layout is made. After mapping out the whole lab we have started to play around with ideas of where to move everything. Very handy tool. I can see myself using it the next time i buy a furniture set as well.

It’s simple to use and easy to figure out. It took me a couple minutes and then I was able to get quick with it. For large objects or measurements, it was within an inch of the actual measurement and that could have been user error. For smaller items it was accurate. I can see using this more than a tape measure as I always have my phone on me so it makes it very convenient.

Very simple and easy to use from the first time. Easier than using a tape measure and seems to be as accurate as a tape measure without needing to get on the floor and keep moving the tape and noting measurements. And it’s readily accessible in my phone, I don’t typically have a tape measure available but I always have my phone — and this App!

I don’t know who is writing these five star reviews, but not real people. This is a purchase app with no instructions. It is essentially a tape measure. No other functions yet. When I contacted the support people they are quick to respond. Explain they are still working on the instructions portion. As a mom, here’s a word of advice. You need instructions before you launch a product. I have a seventeen year old son who writes programs. Perhaps I could send him to you for a job. I have never written a poor review before. But a paid for app with no instructions to use features deserves this.
