iMacro - Diet, Weight and Food Score Tracker

I’ve downloaded so many apps to help me track my macros, but this is one of the better ones. For the most part, it’s pretty user-friendly, intuitive, but there’s some pitfalls. When adding in food, it can get glitchy at times. I’d add in all the sections, yet it would indicate an error sign. Sometimes certain foods that are searchable are way, way off. For example, 1 serving of egg yolk is ~700 calories...? Other times, you can scan a barcode but nothing appears, only to find it by searching yourself. It’s just minor things, but sometimes it can be enough to deter you away, since dieting is hard enough. However, it’s not all bad. For the most part, it’s a flexible app that can let you customize. Since I’ve downloaded this app, it’s helped me keep track of my meals and I lost more than 10lbs!

I love this App!!! I don't want to pay $20 a month for weight watchers and why would I when this app exists? before i was using an online calculator and figuring everything by hand now I can just scan items or look them up to find the points! so much more convenient and easy to use! plus it tracks your weight and calculates when you will reach your target goal!! i recommend it to anyone trying to lose weight without feeling like they are "dieting" because essentially you can eat your favorite foods and still lose weight by tracking your points!!

It does the basics and syncs to the health app on your iphone for more detailed tracking. I track sugar, carbs, protein and fats. This app wont track sugar but it will be reflected in the health app when you scan a food into imicros so you do get the info you need, just not directly on thi app. It can be a bit frustrating to use. When inputting food/meals your food history won't have quantity/method of measurement relative to the nutritional information so you will find yourself searching for the same item again to find that data. Your food history will also not be alphabetized or organized in any useful way for quick reference. You will also find yourself changing the meal period only to have it default to back "breakfast" because you didn't hit "done" prior to saving. Most foods in packaging can be scanned. Fresh foods can sometimes require a bit of guess work to find a close match.

I do like this app, the database is pretty large and accurate but I have some issues. The macros it provided for me were wrong. I strongly suggest that you do your own research to make sure you are getting enough nutrients. I also wish that all of my saved foods were in alphabetical order, it would just make it so much easier to find what I am looking for. Sometimes the app freezes when you try to put in new foods as well. Also when you search for foods that you don't scan, double check that it is correct before you log it. I do think this app is worth the purchase, it's easy to use and makes my life easier but there also really needs to be some updates! Pleaseeeee fix that fact that anytime I delete something it makes a copy of it! It's incredibly frustrating!

I am a current lifetime weight watcher who is at goal (barely) and have struggled for the last year since SmartPoints was introduced. I am so happy I stumbled across this app because it is fantastic. It reminds me so much of the previous weight watcher version of points plus, which I thought was great and it's what I lost my weight on. I have found the app easy to use after using it a bit. I can't seem to figure out how to change the start day for the week. Right now I start on Monday and I'd like it to restart weekly points on Saturdays to line up with my WW meetings.
