Hushmail

For the most part, I like it. Especially the secure forms. However, to many times the iphone XR will not notify me that I received an email. When I notice that my email notification sound has bot gone off in several hours, I simply swipe to update and then several emails that were sent several hours ago show up. This makes my company look bad because these emails are for customers trying to schedule a service. I do not have this problem with my google emails and I am considering switching my companies email to a google account. This is embarrassing and causing me to many new customers. Whats unfortunate, is that it works 75% of the time. Not sure why randomly the notification alert on my phone decides to stop working or that the hush emails to not update automatically at times.

I have been using Hushmail for nearly 12 years, I have had great time, confidence and felt absolute safe. Until recently, a group of people with specific reasons have hunted my e-mail account passphrase, but, since it was in the (hands) of Hushmail my peace of mind prevailed, unfortunately, 2 months ago it looks something went wrong somewhere, this is the time when my trust to Hushmail system got to the peak, an attempt to hack my passphrase has led my account to become inactive. I can’t log in, the system doesn’t recognize my passphrase anymore, it simply looks like I have lost or forgot it, but not, I have been using it regularly, the mistake was to download the app and use it to access my account, I became vulnerable. Otherwise, can the Hushmail team convince me that your app is safe ? I did not forget or lost my passphrase ! An attempt to hack it have locked an access to my account. Is it true that there is nothing can be done except to open new ID ?

While I love the convenience of the app, the keyboard often can’t be moved when trying to get to my inbox, which means having to close out the app multiple times before I can finally get in and do what I need to do. Also, the spam filter leaves plenty to be desired, as I’m receiving multiple spam emails per day with no way to report them as spam or block them within the app. There doesn’t seem to be any clear direct way to communicate with anyone from Hushmail about this, hence my review hoping someone can see and fix these bugs. If those were improved upon, this would be the perfect app!

When I use a search term to search my mailbox for a particular email or set of emails, it almost always gets hung up and cannot complete the search. I have to do it on my computer instead, which I do not always have with me. Also, with my new iphone update, I can’t use voice dictation - it times out after 1 second. I do a lot of work on my phone, so this is a problem.

Over the years I have used lots of different email. I am tired and retired now days. A functional, secure, easy to use email is all I need. For about the last 5 years I have had a Hushmail account. While no email is perfect, Hushmail in my opinion is as close as it gets. 95% of the time I access my email with this iPhone app. Only one time have I sent in an issue and support immediately fixed the problem. The Hushmail staff are great folks with a mission to provide a fantastic service. Thank you Hushmail Staff.
