HomeSwapper Matches

I have swapped twice successfully via homeswapper, it’s easy to use and does what is needed in an app like this. Yes it does need abit of an update to sort certain things out, especially when I’m getting around 3 likes every few weeks of which I can’t see, I get the alert message to say their advert might not be fully functional on homeswapper or whatever it says. Which is incredibly frustrating when you want to know who’s liked your profile also things like searching within 20 miles of your chosen location, I have had several just outside of the 20mile zone who would of been suitable for me, but obviously just outside the area so not a match. Their should be an option to pick counties not just a specific area. For instance I want to be in Lincolnshire, so I want to pick Lincolnshire as my area as anywhere in the county would be suitable, it covers a lot more area that would of been missed by just putting ‘Lincoln’. Yes there are a lot of messers, a lot of fussy people who are rude etc but that is not down to the app, it’s down to the people, I don’t know why some are scoring one or two stars for this, because the app does exactly what it’s supposed to do, with just the need of a quick freshen up.

Awful. App constantly crashes. Not enough search options. 95% of people don’t respond to messages. Communication is the key to home swapping, therefore it is impossible to swap using HomeSwapper as no one is forced to respond. They can even leave their ad up after they’ve swapped or no longer looking so you just waste time searching ghost houses. The rest lie about being interested and then just stop communicating after you’ve searched multi swap links for them or don’t turn up for viewings. So if you’re looking for a way to lose the will to live try swapping within social housing. Every person who has been searching for more than 6 months now suffers depression and is feeling trapped as the realisation sets in that there is no freedom of movement. Feeling trapped is a dangerous way to feel. Suicide is sometimes a better option

The app was easy to use but at times seemed to have a mind of its own and once I had swapped I could not close the account and I was still getting messages from potential swaps. I messaged homeswapper twice and received a message back telling me to close the account ; which I had already done. Low and behold I still kept getting messages of people interested in my home. The app is fairly easy to use but not if you have issues. I have swapped but am still getting messages which I cannot access. The customer service is very poor. So I would say it is okay unless you have any issues as there seems to be no support to address any issues. I would think twice about using this app again.

Great little app but when doing a simple search it really needs to hold the info from the previous simple search, as it’s so time consuming having to put the same information in 20 times over when u only want to change one detail each time. Also is there any way you can send a link to a property via the messages as I’ve had people who when trying to do multi swaps, send me a screen shot, really no help at all, then I have to painstakingly do the simple search to find that property. Apart from that, great little app.

There are far too many fussy people and time wasters on this site 😡😡,and as for people answering messages its ridiculous,it takes a couple of minutes to respond and say yes or not interested and yet some people cant even do that,very ignorant,and half the people havent logged in for over 4 to 10 weeks,there should be a rule that says you need to log in at least once a week and taken off if they dont because if they dont log in for weeks their not really serious about swapping😡😡
