Review Update! Since last update I can not only download and play again but am able to participate in the limited time challenges too! So far so good! Thank U to the developers for working on it! So changing from 1 🌟 to 4🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars! Can't give 5 stars bc the boosters cost so many diamonds and I have yet to figure out any way to earn either the boosters or the diamonds. If ur on the fence, go ahead and download the game, very enjoyable to choose design of room decor as well as the gameplay is fun too! Previous Review: I loved the changes made which included the limited time challenges, but now I can't play them. Tried updating app but says unable to download?? When this happened on my iPhone support told me to delete the app and then download the app. I did so and had to start back at the beginning. Now my iPad Air 2 can't download the latest update, so my choices are to just not be able to play the limited time challenges (that I so enjoy) or start over.... not very happy about this! UPDATE: So I decided to delete and reinstall even if have to start over, I did so and now it still says unable to download and now I can't play at all on my iPad. I wonder if the developers even read these reviews ! Time for a bug fix update guys!! And yes of course I have restarted many times!
First, the review: it’s a solid match-3, with an actually interesting design component. You play a few levels, earn enough to buy a couch or paint the wall or whatever. Frequently you get “challenges” where you earn coupons for the time-limited room and also earn game-$, so when the challenge ends, you can spend that on your normal (‘career’) design projects. I’m on level 1881. The problem: the only way to get power ups is to pay real cash. There’s no daily reward, no spending game$ or unused coupons for power ups or a couple extra turns, not even a voluntary “watch an ad for a random useful thing”(which would work. People will watch a stack of ads for a stack of power ups. Seriously). For a while, you could extend play by watching an ad, but only by two turns (and the option wasn’t even always available). Now, without warning, they’re showing an ad after each level. Guys. My dudes. We get that you need to get paid. Just make it at least appear that you see the players as more than a potential wallet. You don’t win if the game is too hard or too annoying for us to bother with. Yay! You outsmarted me! Now I guess it’s time to go back to Playrix, who do know how to keep the players feeling valued even if they can’t afford to pay actual money.
For those of you who want to download a good game- pls read this!! This game is very boring. I downloaded it thinking that you could actually design your own dream home, but it turns out that you actually have to design only one room for some specific person (u don't get to choose the room), and plus you have to use your coins to pay for the furniture, which nobody wants to do. And you can't just earn coins either. You have to play this matching game to win them (another thing: the levels get really REALLY hard after level 20, so that's just another warning) and who wants 2 do that when this is a designing app??!! Designing has nothing to do with a matching game!!! It's basically more matching than desgiegning. And they only give you three options for a furniture choice, which is very limited. Basically I'm saying that you're not actually the one who picks the room you design and the furniture, they're the ones that do, and that's no fun. And then it's annoying because if you don't want 2 earn coins by playing that really tricky matching game, you have to buy them for like $5, which nobody wants to even consider. When you just pretty much waste your coins buying the furniture for the rooms you don't even get to pick. I literally got bored 30 minutes after playing this. So two days after I deleted it. Was very disappointed. I definitely wouldn't recommend this 4 people who are easily bored.
This game needs some upgrade and fixing if you want to keep players interested instead of frustrated. First, keep it interesting by rewarding accurately especially on hard levels where you only awarding 700-1,050 coins? really? Especially when you still have 15 chances left after beating level. Secondly, how about giving extra diamonds to accumulate instead of over charging 90 diamonds for extra 5 turns or extend play or power buttons which I never get to buy why? Because I refuse to pay .99 or more every time I need a power button to destroy shapes, not worth it. Thirdly, nothing is more frustrating than playing same levels for days just so you can feel forced to pay in order to move on to next level as it starting to look pretty obvious the logic of of difficult levels Ive played (I’m on level 222). I’m already reaching point where game not worth playing if I can seem to reap a fair reward when I do beat levels just to keep me stuck at one design for days. After this level if there is no real change besides now playing your 5 turns blindly and hiding your additional coins by just giving one whole accumulated amt (which by the way is now lower than ever before) and more random because how do you calculate the points reward to coins given????? Like another recent reviewer, I will be DELETING this game and won’t reload until there is a big and better improvements
The game is fun and easy to personalize but my issue is the way the player is supposed to collect money. The puzzles are a good idea but don’t generate much revenue to work with because you normally have to use all of your moves, and the pieces that you match together aren’t worth anything. Something I noticed is that the puzzle drops pieces in a way that almost feels like you are playing against the computer; it is going against your every move to make you lose. Many other games are set up in a way where the algorithm drops pieces where it believes they can be helpful. Another issue is boosters and redemption: once you have run out of diamonds, you cannot use any boosters or buy more moves, thus making it harder to win. Since the only way to purchase diamonds is through actual dollars, which I’m not going to spend, I believe there should be other ways to earn diamonds, more lives, more moves, boosters, etc. Though advertisements are a pain, they are a good way for players to earn diamonds, money, boosters, or anything that would boost gameplay. That way we don’t spend our money and you make money off of the advertisements! It’s a win win. Love playing the game and wish I could spend more time playing but the way the puzzles work I can’t really move forward as fast as I would like to
