Needs better money management options, like example to take out loans if you come up short. Also should probably give you more starting money as well, options are limited with starting cash. Needs better AI, as the other companies make ridiculous money off their releases, and your starting releases never yield more than 20 million, and theirs yield 100 of millions. That definitely needs to be adjusted, as well as giving you more stuff to start with like a stage, and some landscapes and editing etc. Also, the price of actors really needs to be fixed as your starting because they do good in other companies movies and it really drives up your price to create a film. If all of those things get fixed this would be the greatest movie tycoon game out.

Probably the best realized movie tycoon sim on iOS though that’s not saying much. The game gives you great control over your product and the game flow is simple but addicting. Where the game falls short is in the details and the feedback mechanisms. For instance, you may be able to control your production budget but there’s nothing that tells you if you distributed your money correctly. Same with actors. There’s a ton of them to chose from but no indication of their strengths, popularity or even how they did in your movie. The only feedback you get is from awards and they’re not very well integrated. (Minor point: seems weird to have so many options for production an so few awards. Why am I wasting time casting supporting actors or setting makeup budgets it I don’t know what that’s getting me) I just ended up picking at random and by the end it can become a slog because there’s no strategy to back up the simulation. Like I said if you want a movie game then pick this one up. There are much worse ones out there.

Not a lot of cool Sims out there for iOS, but this is surely one of them. Closest thing to the game The Movies for P.C. by Firaxis. Up to year 39, now with $21Billion. So I’ve put a lot of hours into game. Never gotten a movie to hit a Billion yet. Closes I’ve hit is 997Million. Movies hit a billion All the time in the real world, so you should adjust this limitation. Have a separate Box Office for Domestic & International. As well as adjustments for Domestic and International Marketing would be features I would suggest. Taking some other liberties from The Movies for P.C. would also be recommended. This game is such an addictive tycoon that has tons of potential. First off though you should have a difficulty option. Second you should have more customizations to the company you make. Third, you should have a credit system so you can have starting money for a movie so you can still make a movie if you run out of money. Last, you should be able to change the starting money. There is many more things you should be able to do but these could be a good start.

I can spend DAYS in this game. It’s near perfect. If i had any cons it would be that it blocks you out after 35 years and that there are only so many genres and limited to movies. It would be really cool if we could do Mini-Series (Netflix style) or TV altogether. Cinematic Universes could also change gameplay in a really fun way. Regardless, this is an amazing game.
