Heroic - Magic Duel

I’ve been playing Heroic for a while and I could never access the guilds until recently, every time I would like on the guild button it would say I needed more trophies because I missed the notification when I passed 400, I got to almost 3000 before I noticed the “unlock guilds” in the timeline only because I scrolled backwards randomly. So maybe fix that notification or have the guild button unlock it if you’re past the required amount. Other than that minor hiccup I love the game, reminds me a lot of the old magic the gathering video game for GameCube, keep up the great work.

I am really confused about this game. The graphics are gorgeous. The sound score is spot on. All this effort was put into this game yet it still has the same crappy trophy matchmaking system! These types of games are highly exploited! Higher level players purposely lose trophies to gain access to easier matches. I think any game using the trophy count system as a way to determine who you face should have a type of fail safe that discourages this type of playing. It’s basically a form of cheating/hacking the game. Guess thats why they call it the Trophy Hack! Anyone doing this should have their characters and level balanced with their opponents. Or just put a system in place that prevents this all together. I myself find it very frustrating when I am always facing someone that has a main character with level 5 and up abilities. I am not a paying gamer. I don’t agree with having to pay just to get an edge in a game. If my skill alone isn’t enough to play a game then why would I invest my money into that game? It’s pointless. The only games I have invested in are the ones that require purchases for more content; i.e.; Tell Tale’s The Walking Dead. If it weren’t for the fact that I am constantly being asked to rate a game, or thrown into matches with higher level players, and of course forced to play against opponents who have clearly dropped trophies to get easy wins... then and only then would I invest into the game.

This game has potential, but is terribly broken when it comes to unit availability. If you’re like me and don’t care to spend money to get units or open chests, you get stuck with the same units for quite some time. That isn’t the whole issue however, the issue is the strength of certain early units. I’m only in arena three and I’ve been constantly getting stalled close to the very beginning of that arena, I can’t even get to the first milestone of arena three because everyone I face has basically all of the units from the first two arenas while I have no real means of countering them. One unit is able to completely ruin a whole plan I have because they have more health than they should with how much damage they do. I feel heavy hitting ranged characters should only take about two to three hits from anything basic, and one shot from other hid damage units instead of having the ability to CC my troops with multiple shots, as well as still take three to four hits to kill. TLDR: a lot of units, even from the early arenas are broken beyond belief and can hardly be countered unless you have the same units. The game has potential to be fun, just not now for me.

I play other games structured like this. This one has the best graphics by far. Unfortunately it’s plagued by the same problem as the rest, one side gets the favorable deal, plays card after card, while the other player watches and waits for their loss to conclude. This costs this and all games like it one star from me. This game loses a second star because I would rather close the app, reopen and start a new match while my previous opponent continues their given win. This game doesn’t allow that and makes me watch unnecessary and unavoidable cinematic. Not every deal is uneven, and the obnoxious advantage when it is alternates so you get to be on both sides. It’s no fun stomping someone at a disadvantage or losing with the deck stacked against you. But there are enough fair games to keep playing. I myself deleted. But recommend everyone tries it out and makes their own decision

I like the content of the game itself. Having played it and invested in it early on I did enjoy it much more. The main flaws I’m seeing is the chest system. 3 hours for a chest is obviously way to long with a 4 chest slot. Most games require 10 minutes to gain energy points etc to use in playing a session. The timer should be reduced to 30 minutes, an increased number of slots, and it should automatically start opening the next ones. The “hogs” chest price is a bit too high. If these changes were implemented the user would have more content and be able to play longer without being backed up trying to not get too high in the rankings while still having low level units. Those changes would definitely rank it up to 4.5 stars for me.
