HeartMonitor

This is cool and was, in my opinion, needed. The watch app feels a little bare, and the complication is only a small icon at the top of the face, like a non-animated workout icon. A useful one because it persists across faces, but I was hoping to place a complication with an icon on a modular face as a quick launcher for a session. That would be a cool feature for a future release. But this is 1.0.1 and less than 24 hours on the store, so I have to congratulate the developer on a great initial drop. I can respect the work that goes into this; I would’ve paid for it.

When you start it, it makes the Apple Watch measures your heart beat every few seconds rather than every few minutes, until you end it. It displays and updates the current heart rate, and at the end, displays the graph of the heart rates and the statistics.

I let this app run on the background all day so it measures my heart rate continuously. Very useful especially with sleep tracking apps. And it doesn’t add any exercise minutes to your Activity Rings. All data is synced with Apple Health and you can see these heart rate readings in the Heart Readings on Apple Health. Two thumbs up! Amazing app!

I've always wanted a feature on the watch that allows me to just constantly track my heart rate during a non physical activity and this app is just it! Simple. Solid. Stable. And just exists in the background as a feature when needed.

App is very basic yet does something that most apps don’t and watch doesn’t. You can monitor your heart rate continuously without starting a workout. This is a must for people with high heart rate issues and to help document what might trigger them.
