I really enjoy my JamPlay membership. I'm learning alot. This app, however, needs some love and messaging. It doesn't remember login info. Have to log in Everytime I leave the app and come back to it. Perhaps the most annoying issue is that it won't track progress. I always have to go through the lessons to find out where I left off last. And for 2017, I expect an apple tv app. This unfortunately does not exist. All these things work smooth on a competitor to JamPlay. I wish JamPlay would take some notes from their competition and make this app experience better. That's why I gave low rating, the experience.

To preface this comment, I'd like to say that I honestly to enjoy Jamplay's content. All sorts of lessons that I'd LOVE to pay for. But this is where I have issues. I'm not at my laptop most of the time. If I wasn't on the go a lot, I'd have time to sit at my laptop and use this service. Thankfully, there's an app though, right? It's advertised all over the website, talking about how it's available on so many devices. But that's all it is. Just available. It doesn't work. Plus it seems to be optimized for a long-since obselete operating system (iOS 8). That was 4 years ago. We are on iOS 12 now. I know for a fact that there have been a ton of people who have complained about the unusability of the app. Yet I havent seen ANY sort of consolation. Any sort of acknowledgment or even willingness to work on the app. Not only can I not view content on it but every time I leave the app (still running in background) I get immediately logged out. I've tried several times since I first got a membership back on iPhone 6. Then on iPhone 7. Then 8. Now XS Max. Also on a few iPads. To me, the devs must obviously not even care about the apps. If they did, they'd at least reply to the negative comments saying they're working on it. Or even say that there will be an update in the future. But it has literally been a ghost town for years. It's time to finally stop trying.

I really enjoying JamPlay. I had a membership a couple years ago and returned. Wow. The site has really improved. I am so happy I returned. Really digging Tim Stewart’s course: really soulful and musical. HOWEVER THIS APP IS MISERABLE; it keeps locking up and then I have constantly re enter my codes. A real hassle. FIX THE APP PLEASE

If you’re trying to learn how to play the guitar, avoid JamPlay because you spend more time trying to debug their app. Another significant disappointment is no chat or phone support in the evenings or weekends. Login and beginner lessons jam up. With an account, you can’t login into the app (iOS device). Through the app I attempted to open a new account, it of course recognize I already have an account, then it allowed me to login. ‘frustrating’ In beginner lessons it will only allow you to watch the first session. Then it locks/jams up, it will not advance to another session. I can’t imagine their talented instructors are happy with this non-functional app. JamPlay jams alright, but not the way I expected!

JamPlay is great and I've been learning a lot. The app those is ridiculously frustrating. Like others it doesn't track your progress. So every time I open the app I have to go through the lessons to find where I left off. Not only do I wish it would open up where I left off but also where I left off on my mac. I wish they worked together seamlessly. Seems like an easy fix.
