Google Stadia

Have a good net connection? Have a 4K TV? I am coming from a PS4/XBONE S setup and am very impressed with the initial results. Load times are faster than my current consoles and I’ve had little to no buffer or latency issues. Destiny 2 looks much better than my PS4 and I look forward to the library of games getting bigger. Stadia also works great in a Chrome tab on my old 2012 MacBook Pro where I can either go the mouse/kb route or use a PS4/XBX controller!

A lot of negativity and over positivity. To be honest the idea is great but has flaws for people with bad internet. Nothing can beat physical or straight download. A lot of people are happy for the future, but what about NOW? have you not heard of the google graveyard? Sony and Microsoft can easily adapt by keeping their business model but expand more to have more infrastructure for games to work like stadia for people who don’t wanna bother. So they have all the options by then. Physical, digital, and on the fly stadia like. This is how you please everyone. As soon as they get on it, stadia will have to improvise. Getting no new games or exclusives won’t make it afloat. There has to be incentive for it to work and gather more players. As we are seeing they will work on it year after year till they make it perfect. But there is no such thing due to ISP no compete cluse. Stadia is actually more dependent on internet/ISP than the other way around so all they can do is HOPE for companies to up the bandwidth, which is laughably only that... HOPE. And while google try their best to perfect their craft year after year, sony and friends already have the capabilities and they just need to cooperate with Microsoft a bit and then boom... stadia left behind. Time will tell. 3 stars for effort.

This is just the beginning. Why do any processing at home on expensive hardware if you don’t have to? I believe that in the not too distant future, personal computers with high processing capabilities will be totally unnecessary and everyone will just have viewing devices for streaming type services like Stadia. Looking forward to more games and absolutely floored by the technology and how far we’ve come since my first 8 bit games.

Please work to get Stadia available for us to play games on iOS devices ASAP; and also consider allowing us to pair an MFi controller or include mobile on-screen Touch controls with adopted games? Certainly, touch-controls input can be considered this early into launch for the SDK, before willing developers work to port their future games into Vulcan? 🤞🏼❤️

The service works, but games are not rendered at 4K 60, especially the free launch title, Destiny 2. Destiny 2nfor example is rendered at a medium pc setting and 1080P. That’s a massive letdown and I question why anyone would pay for this service moving forward when you can buy a cheap Xbox One S instead and play the same game at higher quality. The App Store is also lacking games and support is almost non existent. When support does communicate, they end up confusing the community. I really don’t understand how Google botched something this bad. I’d stay far away from Stadia.
