Certainly not the only, probably not the fanciest, but perhaps the fastest and easiest way to calculate kidney function (glomerular filtration rate: GFR). Creatinine concentration can be expressed in conventional (mg/dl) or SI (µmol/l) units. For weight and height metric (kg, m) as well as imperial (pound, inch) units are accepted. Uses CKD-EPI equation, MDRD equation, Schwartz equation for estimated GFR (eGFR) calculation, and Cockcroft and Gault equation for creatinine clearance calculation. Calculates body surface area (BSA) and converts BSA-adjusted output of eGFR equations to "real" GFR expressed as ml/min/actual BSA.
