Gesa Xpress Digital Banking

Awesome update finally able to log in and out with ease. Fast and informative. This app would be perfect if different colors were used for account types and titles vs loans or other products. My checking and savings has the same blue color as my car loan and installment and it seems it would be more logical in a red color. A step further Maybe even green for checking, blue savings, red loan etc. Having them all the same color makes choosing the appropriate account more tedious than necessary. Also, calendar and calculator as a window panel option would be helpful. Good job Gesa!

This is the worst thing you could have done to your app Gesa. You took a giant step backward with this one. User interface is disgusting, extremely poor user experience. The old app showed you your balance in large text, first thing you see when you open it. That’s what you use the app for - to quickly check your finances from your phone. If you want to do more than that, you use your computer. With this new interface, trying to view details of your transaction history and then get back to the main page is ridiculous. If I have to search for longer than 10 seconds to figure out how to go back, that’s poor design. Why would anyone want to use a back button that is awkwardly crammed at the top of the screen? The menu is also terrible. 1. Putting it on the right hand side was a bad idea. 2. The menu doesn’t extend the full length of the screen when opened on iPhone 7 3. Check deposits = ugly. “Click here”? Who is using a mouse here? Text is tiny when choosing an account to deposit to. I could go on all day long. Bottom line is, hire yourself a new app developer. It looks like my 12 year old brother designed this. This app update was the last straw as I’ve been considering jumping ship. Moving over to a new credit union ASAP that makes design and user experience a priority IN ADDITION TO security.

I am so relieved to be able to use the mobile app again. I was locked out from the original app as I had it on an older device and no one seemed to be able to get it to work on my newer devices. I was even told to use my home phone instead. I don’t have a home phone and I wasn’t about to pay for one just to access my bank app. I am impressed so far. I gave it a workout with payments, transfers, and check deposits. All went smoothly. I do agree with a previous reviewer about using different colors for the account types.

I’m hoping this is just the first update and not a final product. Banking apps on your phone should be simple, like the version of this app. If I want more complicated, I’ll go to your web page. The only thing I actually use the app on my phone for is transfers, checking balances, occasionally looking at past transactions, and transferring money between accounts. This update does not make any of that easier; in fact, it makes it much harder. The last version of your app was the best thing about banking with Gesa, behind the great customer service that is. This scaled down version of your website is terrible, please don’t make us use this for very long.

I can now log in to this app with their new digital online banking. Not only are you able to log in with the same credentials as desktop mode you can do all the same stuff. I can now make my car loan and credit card payments from the app. With a gesa account or an external account. (for the credit card pay option at least). Will update if i see problems, but so far the update is what this app needed and i’m very happy.
