Rated them a one because there are no negative numbers in the rating system. These guys advertise in a way that leads an inexperienced person to think they buying spendable bitcoin and what your really doing is buying 5 different bitcoin currencies in a kind of beginners bitcoin portfolio. So you figure fine ill sell them and they get some service fees , my mistake but when you try to do this you find you have to sell each one seperately and pay a fee that is less than the coin is actually worth and so your screwed. This was obviously intentional because then magically appears a “core connect transfer with wells fargo so you figure great we can transfer back to wells fargo whatever we have left but thats actually transferring more money to gemini. So i sent them countless emails asking them to cancel and this when i found that they use Zen desk. Zen desk is a company specializing in a buffer system so you cant ever get to company that you want to talk to. You deal with automated email responses totally unrelated to anything you asked about and eventually you give up. No reputable company interested in actually serving their customers would ever consider using zen desk they are the lowest of the low. So steer clear of gemini they would be bad news to do anything with but the concept of them safegaurding my money? Ridiculous, utterly.

These are the douchy kind of crypto guys. They let you in under a nice disguise making things look simple and quick. All goes well. Sign up, link my bank, buy $500 in btc to take advantage of this dip, all easy and quick so far. Go to send the bitcoin to your own wallet or do anything with the btc you just gave them $500 for.. There it is! Upload this verify that. No transfer no withdrawal, I’m still waiting on their “verifications” been a few days now. Just watching my btc from outside the window like a close pet store. One can only assume their intentions. Launching these BS checks at that point is only really to collect on the accounts people gave up on or the “denied” you access for. They get your money and your btc.. hmm 🤔 I’m in the wrong line of work. And they say people who ‘use’ the crypto are the criminals lol right

I used to be a fan of Gemini. I recommended them because they were advertised a lot, were licensed and customer service was great. It was easy to setup an account and trade. However, now there customer service is selective with what they respond to. The app doesn’t allow you many trading options, or any options as the desktop version does, which helps them rack in more money. The trading fees make it worse. Their fees are too high. Also, it takes much longer for funds to clear via bank transfer ACH. And let’s just say they think they know better than the customer does when it comes to user interface, which makes the user not want to use the app if a highly suggested feature is requested and you don’t make improvements. Please fix the app and customer service.

Buyer beware. High fees and removal of key features. I used Gemini. Not casually, I had near 100k in there and out of the blue they removed the features that were the sole reason I ever opened an account there. So I can no longer do lace Limit orders. When I contacted support they offered no help and no condolences. They offered access ActiveTrader but made it very clear they have the right to pull the rug out from under me at any time and take it away. How is that for confidence building? Imagine if your bank treated you like that? This was actually a good thing. Gemini has been taking advantage of me with egregious fees. Gemini should not be charging a fixed percentage fee. Especially now that the lightning network is here. Their terrible customer care experience forced me to look elsewhere which found me a better exchange.

This app seems like t would be great. That being said I was not able to utilize it because they don't accept my credit union. That's fine, totally understandable because it is a fairly local credit union. What I absolutely hate about this app is the customer service. After realizing that my credit union is not supported I tried to cancel my account. This is where the trouble begins. To close an account you have to contact the customer support team. After sending a detailed message as to why I wanted to close my account they have replied 3 times with a generic answer every time. "We will look into it" " your inquires have been received" "we will keep you updated". It is getting to be ridiculous, like literally just delete my account.
