Driving Test Genie

This app delivers again! This is the second review I have left for this app (original review below) as it has sorted out a test date in just two weeks again at our preferred test centre. Also customer service is excellent and fast. I have used a few apps to find an earlier test date and although they all can notify you when there is a cancellation by the time you click to book the test is gone. However with this app once you get the notification you have 10 minutes to confirm the Booking. I have received several notifications and as soon as I had a suitable slot I confirmed by text and shortly afterwards received official confirmation of the new date. Seems to have the edge over some of the other apps out there. Would definitely recommend.

You often have to wait for many weeks to book a driving test, but after failing you can resit after 10 working days. You can check for cancellations on the DVLA But they are taken very quickly, so you will need a lot of luck and patience. Driving Test Genie sends notification of cancellations at your chosen location immediately, and gives you 10 minutes to decide. The problem with the basic version is that once you accept a new date it won’t send you more options unless you contact support to reset. The support team respond quite quickly in my experience. I believe the more expensive version doesn’t need resetting. Overall if you don’t want to wait many weeks for a test - worth buying.

I was wary about this service but it’s totally worth the sign up fee. I failed my test recently and wanted to resit fast, dvla dates were over 7 weeks away! However, 1 hour after signing up with testgenie they sent me a date which was closer😊 The app continues to send you dates even after bringing the test forward already which I think is brilliant. Only downside is that you only have 10 minutes to decide, which is annoying when dates get sent to you at 6am and you have to confirm if the dates ok with the instructor and of course you don’t get a quick enough reply. I still recommend this service to everyone who’s failed their test and want to bring it forward. This is coming from a genuine person and not a robot😁

I’m a student who was looking to retake my driving test in my break from school which was only made possible by this app. The app secured me a driving test with a few days of notice and I now have my driving license all thanks to this app! Driving Test Genie is intuitive and clear; it just requires you to follow a few simple instructions in order to select the test centres of your choice and then simply choose the cancellation date (of many to choose from) that suits you best. A must have for anyone looking to take their driving test imminently (rather than wait 3 months through the DVLA website) - could not recommend highly enough!

Laura at “Driving Test Genie” provides a fantastic service - I’m a driving instructor based in Derbyshire and one of my customers recently requested that she wanted a short-notice test. I know it can be very frustrating for learners when they try to book a test only to find that their is a long waiting list - for this reason I highly recommend Laura and “Driving Test Genie” as they will save you a lot of time searching for earlier dates as they do all the work for you!
