I had great difficulty at first loading this App as I do not have a phone however Grace, from Head Office DLL, sorted it out for me and it is now up and running. Quite easy to use and quicker to book a Class than on my Laptop. Nice large easy to read text. The keyboard, initially, seem very strange as it is set up as a phone App and I am using an iPad Mini but once signed in it is easy to both book the Classes also check your own advanced bookings. You can also leave it in Sign In mode, saves a lot of hassle of putting in your email and password each time you want to book a Class. Well done DLL. This paragraph above was written when I originally began using this method to book my Classes! Maybe it never got sent as a Review, that was some while ago, now I am fully convinced this App is for me! I use it all the time - what I most like is the fact that I get a booking ref. up straight away so know it's all done and my Class is booked. I guess my only concern is that it takes a while waiting from initially opening the DLL App. and then waiting for the first screen to spring into life, doubting Thomas that I am, I always wonder if it's working!

Grace from head office has now resolved the issue so hopefully that won’t happen again. I don’t like though how I’ve had 5 emails and 5 notifications telling me I’ve had a developer response and it hasn’t stopped until I’ve updated my feedback-from Apple not DL. I’ve never had any issues with the app until January then it deleted my ability to book my children in- got that sorted and now I can’t view my bookings or delete anything via the app. It’s becoming really annoying... I feel like I’m constantly having issues with the app and being told log out and log back in. I’ve tried that and tried deleting and reinstalling... no luck.

Really shocking customer service! After years of being a member and my wife about to join, I arrived for a morning workout before work to find the men’s changing room has been closed for refurbishment and replaced with a squash court with no showers, and the family change room with not nearly enough showers or lockers for the members. I did what I could and got changed in between the puddles on the floor. Afterwards I checked my email to see if there had been any notice, and I had no emails from David Lloyd even warning of the horrendous situation that was going to occur. The signs by the change rooms said the refurbishment was going to continue for another month. I emailed membership service to say I wanted to cancel my membership. They replied and said I had to give 3 months notice. I replied and said you’re not providing adequate changing facilities and you gave us no notice so that is not reasonable. 3 days later until I get a response! And they are claiming they sent me an email 10 days before the refurbishment started. But there is nothing in my inbox or spam folder. 3 weeks later and I've been told that because I opted out of marketing emails I didn't get the emails to tell me that the club would be unusable. Surely that isn't a marketing email? I am really perplexed how badly they have handled this. I’ve gone from convincing my wife to join the club to demanding to cancel my membership in less than 2 weeks.

Predominantly a good app however it’s frustrating to scroll down the timetable, select a class to view, and when you go back to the timetable, it has already scrolled all the way back to the start of the day. Would be better to return the user back to the previous position in the timetable. Also, when a class is fully booked and alerts are set, when get a notification and click on it nothing happens-the class is still booked. Not obvious if the space has already been filled or what you need to do if you are notified that a space has become free.

The DL app is a great example of ongoing development. Far too many app's are created and then zero thought goes into improving them; the DL app is different. Already great from day 1, there have been multiple improvements and tweaks to make it more intuitive. My only feedback is personally I'd like Class reminders to be selected by pressing a button rather than going into a drop down - less presses & user input required. Still a 5-star app though. Keep up the good work!
