YOGA365 is a new program that provides a full year of guided micro-practices designed to promote positive, daily habits. The app sends you a one- to two-minute-long yoga poses, breathing practices, meditations, or positive thoughts each day of the year for 365 days. They are extremely beginner friendly and require no special equipment or special exercise clothing. Micro-practices for wellbeing are an invaluable component for happier, healthier, more connected lives, especially for people who have little or no spare time for longer exercise or meditation regimes. If you are the type of person who has on more than one occasion started a new exercise, yoga, or meditation practice but have not been able to keep up with it, then shorter, bite-sized practices might just be thing to help you rewire a new habit, through a bare minimum of behavioral changes. Neuroscience findings show that behavioral changes drive mental characteristics like new habits, and this app is designed to help you do just that. Eddie Stern, the co-creator of Yoga365, has been teaching Yoga for over 30 years. He engages in publishing scientific research in Yoga and works with leading scientists on presenting the benefits of Yoga and meditation to the public. The App includes: MICRO-PRACTICES. A daily push notification will encourage and remind you to take a break for a posture, some deep breathing, a short meditation, or an inspirational thought. Allocate a few minutes each day for overall well-being. With YOGA365, profound change can come from small doses of practice! POSTURES. You will receive short, one to two-minute videos of simple postures throughout the week. One day of the week will be a five-minute sequence comprised of the one-minute practices you learned during the week. These postures increase flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination. DEEP BREATHING. Breathing practices for reducing stress, improving sleep, and balancing the branches of your nervous system will come once per week. GUIDED MEDITATIONS. Once per-week, short meditations will help you reach a state of mindful awareness, connecting the mind, body, and spirit on a deeper level. POSITIVE THOUGHTS. Positive thoughts will be sent to help reframe perceptions of the self, your mind, and the way you relate to the world. INSPIRATION. The YOGA365 inspiration page gives suggestions for healthy diet, sleep, philosophy, and communication which have been found useful in bringing connection and purpose. PRACTICE WITH EDDIE STERN. The first day of the year-long program will begin on January 1st, 2021. However, you can start your 365 day journey at any time. Each practice will take under 5 minutes to complete, making YOGA365 the perfect way to productively start your day or add onto a workout. There will be a calendar to track progress and you must complete each practice before the app unlocks the next. LANGUAGE. All text and navigation as well as introductory videos will be available in French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese. However, daily practice videos will only be available in English.
