I’ve been banking with community first for about ten years now and never had much of an issue. I recently moved and the closest community first is an hour away but I chose to stick with them because of the mobile deposit and mobile banking. After the new software update, I am not able to deposit my checks through the online banking which really puts a huge hold on everything. I just tried again and it still doesn’t work. It’s been a week now and I’ve called every other day and the only answer I’ve been getting is that they are working on it. It’s extremely frustrating. The app was fine before they updated it. Why fix something that’s not broken?

I just wanted to write a review to say that this app used to be absolute trash. However, with recent development, the app is finally useful! It still isn’t perfect, but it’s a million times better than it used to be. Two features I especially enjoy- having the ability to sign into my account using my Touch ID, as well as the feature where Community First gives you a push notification stating the cost of the price charged to my debit card while using Apple Pay. I ordered from Papa John’s, and as soon as I confirmed the order, a notification popped up saying the amount I spent. I would love if that happened EVERY time I used my debit card. Great confirmation to purchases. This is the first time that has happened, and I literally stopped what I was doing to write a positive review about it. Thank you.

The mobile deposit feature has always been glitchy, but recently it will come up with some random error message every time. “Please use a dark background”or “depositing this check will exceed your $4,000 daily limit”. I don’t think a $7.00 check is going to put me over my limit. I called and was told to delete and download the app again. No such luck. I work during banking hours so it’s a real pain. At least get the automatic deposit option at your branch ATMs.

Tried many times to make multiple transfers to my sub accounts and they wouldn’t go through. Sent multiple messages to them and they continuously said there was no issue with the app. The only way I could get the transfers to go through was to do each of them separately. Fix your bugs since your update and take reports of problems more seriously. So annoying.

This week: I appreciate CFCU fixing the pending transaction problem for mobile devices so quickly. Thanks! Last week: ‘Can’t see pending transactions unless I flip my phone. Seems silly, should be an easy fix.’
