Chronic pain diary – Ake

As someone who suffers from debilitating chronic pain and inflammation this app is a god send. I need to keep track of my pain daily and this app helps me do that. I do wish that I could measure my pain by the time of day like in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights, since my pain changes from hour to hour. These categories would help a lot so I can track my pain even better. I would also love to see extra reminders so that I can remember to stop and track my pain at those four times during the day.

It’s a a nice app that helps monitor pain but it would be nice if it could log how long the pain lasts for with a stop watch. It’s convenient to have on my Apple Watch because I’m always running around and in front of clients during the day so I don’t have time to reach for my phone. My doctor who is monitoring my pain said I need to record how long the pain lasts for not just the intensity so again it would be nice if this app offered that.

I love the simplicity of the app, and it works with my watch. However, there is no graphing or charting in app. Something like AutoSleep is what I was hoping for.

Yes yes yes yes yes! The app developer made the app exportable!! I can now export as a .csv and import into excel to show my doc how my pain levels have been for the past couple of months. This app is visually appealing and a complete godsend for anyone suffering from chronic pain. Thank you so much!

I love this app. I suffer from chronic migraines and have tried every pain/migraine tracking app I could find. They have all disappointed me, either by being unnecessarily complex or aesthetically unpleasant. Ake couldn't be more different. It is sleek and intuitive, and provides exactly what I need for long-term, daily pain tracking. I think my favorite feature is rating pain on a sliding color scale; I can look at my history and see fluctuations in my pain with easy visual information, rather than dealing with a calendar full of numbers out of ten. Highly recommended!
