The format of the app is confusing and it is difficult to maneuver. My teams roster won’t load and it’s difficult to find anything. Notifications are vague and don’t include information about who scored the goal, and there are no penalty updates. When you open the app you see not scores, but a blank page that is supposedly ‘Latest’ and many other pages are blank as well. There are banners and ads that make the app feel cluttered and more of a promotional tactic than an app intended to make it easy for hockey fans to see scores and stats. While the app is a good idea it needs several fixes before it can be expected to replace the WHL app.

Once again this app has failed to load for over 24 hours. The only time I care about the rest of the CHL is during the Memorial Cup. I just want the scores of the WHL in one place. I don’t want to go to two different locations to see the game summary that gives the attendance. If I wanted videos and news articles that send me to the web, I would go to my team’s website. I have not been able to stream the audio of a game without numerous drops and restarts. With the old WHL app, I could listen to the game from start to finish.

Tried to find the names of the referees and coaching staff for opposing team and was t able to locate information. This information was always available in the old apps. Also the players don’t have numbers next to their names. Sometimes I don’t know the players name but I know their number. I don’t want to have to go to multiple places to find the information I’m looking for. I also miss the player profiles for any player. I miss the old apps. Terrible product with no thought as to what the fans really want.

Update: Now I have a “happy holidays” message that won’t open and won’t clear...so the little badge will be there for ever I guess. The app would never open tonight, tried countless times and just kept saying there was no connection, despite being on WiFi. It would be nice to be able to follow more than one team—but you have to select one only. It takes forever to load...if it does. Looks snazzy, but lacks the actual content we want.
