This app is written by a pilot to allow pilots and refuelers/servicer to quickly and accurately convert Jet A or 100LL fuel from US gallons (gals), pounds (lbs), liters (ltrs), or kilograms (kgs) and display the amount of fuel to add in US gallons, pounds, liters, and kilograms. All that is required is to enter the type of fuel in the tank, the units, the amount remaining, and the amount desired - the converter will do the work. Easily adjust and save the specific gravity, conversion factors, and the decimal places. I you want to try before you buy check out the free version - Aviation Fuel Converter Lite. This is one of my apps I use all the time. I ferry planes world wide and move from lbs to kilos. This app is perfect.
Overall this is a very good app. One minor pick is the app only had portrait orientation. Since I use it on my iPad also, it really needs landscape. I am not sure where you got your Jet fuel density (pounds to gallons). The default is 6.59. Granted that is within the worldwide variance of 6.5 to 7.0 for the various types of jet fuels, but 6.7 to 6.8 is much more common.
I’m an aircraft fueled and this helps out a lot.
Great converter for what I need. Couldn't ask for anything better for quickly calculating gallons (or liters, etc) to pounds, and visa versa.
Great app for the corporate heavy jet operator. Don't forget to set the weights on the options page.
