Let’s just say you guys did a super fantastic job of recreating Asteroids. I mean, I am a Gen X’r here, and this is the game I grew up with where my Mom would take me clothes shopping for school, give me four quarters and leave me alone in the front of the store next to a bunch of arcade games for 2 hours. So this is one of the first arcade games I played as a little guy. While I would hate clothes shopping for school, I always looked forward to playing the original Asteroids. It was incredible, simple and never got boring. Your re-creation of this game takes us back to those days where we could delve into the simple stick figure arcade generation and truly feel the nostalgic charm of this iconic masterpiece. What separates this particular game for iOS apart from many other Asteroid remakes is the fluidity and attention to original detail. It’s soooooo smooth feeling EXACTLY like the original arcade game. Kudos, looking forward to more of your games. To the developer, never forget this niche as it is truly remarkable how you have not only provided a great game but can take people back to the time they remember as a kid. Great Job.

To be quite honest I never did play this game when arcade machines were a big thing, but when I saw this app I wanted to try it cause I have always wanted to try Asteroids, and I’m so glad I did, the games controls (I use buttons cause it’s easier for me) are fluid and the way it plays is totally awesome, graphics the asteroids even the smaller things like the back ground and the little high score screen is awesome, but the reason why giving it 5 stars is the fact that the game and its developers aren’t trying to riddle you of your Money or adult you with adds to get it, the way they work with adds is great and they flow pretty well with the game when they pop up, and the only thing you can buy is 1:00$ thing to stops adds that in the first place aren’t even that bad. In the end that’s why this game deserves a 5 star rating. Play. This. Dang. Game, you won’t regret it

OK I was just so hesitant to download this as all these retro style 80s arcade games are horrible… These guys deserve a raise LOL I was blown away at the fluidity and ease of playing this game on my iPhone XS MAX! The movement the tiny little details of the spaceship and the smoke when you’re a little battleship guy moves is awesome… Although it is hard to get used to if you don’t have some sort of Bluetooth controller but I can see this being more popular on the iPad but I am blown away at the graphics and how nice and easy this is to play… People that aren’t into retro games may not like this but I am from the 80s goingTo the arcade’s after school and playing all these games… Good job developers maybe you can come out with a real donkey Kong Junior… A beefed up donkey Kong… Please come out with Crystal castles… Missile command… Anyhow I hope everyone enjoys this game like I did

Put simply, this is the absolute best version of the classic “Asteroids” that I have ever played, and I’ve tried many. Eye-popping vector-style graphics, authentic sound effects, and a variety of different control options make this the king of “Asteroids” clones. I have the original Asteroids in an arcade cabinet in my home. Same game I played as a nine year old kid in 1979. This might be better. Try it out for free, and you’ll gladly throw the developer .99¢. And that’s just what it costs to get rid of the ads. Well worth it. Download this, and support this developer. We want him making more classic games like this!

I’m giving it 4 stars because this revival of the classic has for the most part the look and feel of the original. But I’m going to list my suggestions to hope for better versions to come. - handle freezes periodically. This is well documented in the reviews - I get you don’t want games lasting too long because ads need to be shown. So offer the original version for the paying players in terms of scoring (if memory serves correctly small ships used to be 1000 points and big ships 400 points), extra ships per 10K points, more frequent UFOs, etc) - ship’s bullets need to travel farther. At least the length of the long side of the screen - sometimes bullets go right through the UFOs and asteroids. - hyperspace kills ships without getting hit - ship gets killed for no reason periodically - the entire screen freezes periodically - ship takes off periodically at warp speed without me doing anything - on occasion asteroids move really fast to start the game until I hit them. - what is FPS? - pulse trail on/off doesn’t seem to do anything Looking forward to your response on these to see if any of them are in the works or to be considered.
