User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
I had a TIA in 2012 & it completely jacked my sleep cycle. I find this app only has one sleep aid that will work for my insomniac episodes sometimes, but the wake up alarm is fantastic. I am naturally a night owl so getting up in the morning is always difficult no matter how rested. I hate being jolted awake from a regular alarm. I do love that the wake up programs gently bring me back to consciousness so that no matter how early, I feel like I just naturally woke up on my own as opposed to being forced awake by an obnoxious alarm. It takes several weeks for your brain to get used to these alarms, & you so have to take the time to find a program that's right for you. It didn't take too long for me to be able to throw away my obnoxious back up alarm though, & I've used this exclusively for years. No matter how important it is for me to be on time the next morning, these wake up alarms have never failed. I paid for the full app awhile back since it's so essential for my sleep/wake cycle, so I can't speak to the upgrade causing ads & removing features. I have no problems paying for a quality app that adds value to my life.
I'm not one to brag and boast about, really any app. I've ALWAYS had trouble sleeping, even as a kid. I always the last one to fall asleep at sleep overs, when me and my sister shared a room, etc. I'm 21 now and can still stay up for 24+ hours without feeling tired at all. I know it's not healthy and I've actually been considering consulting a doctor to see if there's an underlying issue. In the meantime, my older sister introduced me to this app. She claimed it worked wonders for her. She said "Use it and you'll be sleep in less than 10mins." I downloaded it, but didn't use it cause I thought it was dumb. Then one night I put it to use, chose my sleep sounds and duration and didn't realize I was out in less than 10 or 15 minutes like my sister said. It's SO relaxing. I can't always meditate with the woman speaking, or envision the things she says, nevertheless I still fall asleep rather quickly using this app (with or without headphones I might add). It's well worth it people, seriously. My sleep habits aren't where they should be, but I feel this app will help me get on a more healthy track.
I don’t pay anything for this app and so there are limits, but I don’t mind. I would buy stuff if I had the money because what I have used so far is really cool. This app allows me to slowly wake up with the combo of sounds (and whatever else that other stuff is) that I choose, and I’ve found that waking up in this manner results in my feeling less.. Idk, brutalized? Less disturbed at the instantaneous thought of dealing with another day. It’s waaay better to have a gradual reality check. My only pet peeve is the lady’s voice who starts the meditation. You can turn her off but I’d love it if the sound of her was more relaxing. She can speak more slowly and calmly, please! Not cliche, just more slowly, at least. Oh and by the way, review reader, set a back up alarm with a different app. Kinda defeats the purpose but I feel the need for a disclaimer. I’m still testing things out.. either I got tired/confused a couple of times or it didn’t work the way it was supposed to. They should really let us set the exact time the wake up starts and the exact time the sounds, etc are at their peak- but in the same place. On the same screen. Suggestions are fine but make it crystal clear and straightforward.
This app is amazing! I love the setup, the options, and it definitely helps me sleep. It's really cute BUT... I wish it was a little bit cheaper to be able to enjoy the rest of the app. Maybe even 2-3 dollars? I have a different sleep app that does all the same things but it was only a dollar! And for a dollar you can still continuously download new sounds uploaded daily. So $7 dollars is a little logically unreasonable to pay for the same thing. The only thing I can't have with the other app is the guided meditation, which is great!! But...I've also found a separate app that was free that has that :/ I'm sorry I know $7 is out of this world pricey but it just doesn't seem logical for myself so I will continue to enjoy what I can here for free because it is absolutely awesome!! Used it every night so far and if it were a little cheaper I would probably pay for the full version. :) Thank you for an amazing app!
I actually like this alarm clock. The sounds that you can pick from are relaxing and nice, not some blaring loud alarm clock that you hate waking up to. Lol I like that you can pick which ones you want to & can pick multi. Ones to go together. I love the thunderstorm & birds chirping together. One thing that I don't like about the sounds is some are locked and the only way it seems to be able to get them is if you pay 6.99 ( I think that unlocks all of them) and can't just pay for one. Or if it's 6.99 to unlock just one new sound then that is way to expensive. Also what's cool to is if you are one of those people that need relaxing sounds to get to sleep or just like it, it's cool that you can also do that with this app. It's not just an alarm clock it also has an option for you to pick to listen to relaxing sounds to put you to sleep. Enjoy if you get this app. Thanks for reading my review. 😊
