Al-Anon Speaker Tapes for Alanon, Alateen 12 Steps

I love this app. In my short time working the program, these speaker meetings have helped immensely. I have the ability to nourish my newfound lifestyle and change my undesirable behaviors. I am so very grateful that I have the ability to listen and learn especially when I can’t get to a meeting. I once read that the program is like learning a new language. It is easier if you immerse yourself in the language. This is one of the ways I can immerse myself in the program while I am on the go.

Many and most times I use and utilize this app is at night , when I’m feeling lonely or alone. The meditation music and guided really helps ground me and relax my mind, body, and spirit. If I hadn’t found these and many tools of the Alanon program I do not know where I would be today. I am so blessed and grateful today!

Generally a positive, helpful daily reminder of Al-Anon ideas. It’s good to pull my head out of the daily grind. I find these little slogans memes are uneven in their relevance and specificity to the program. For example “We’re all geniuses but ... “ (and it says a clever thing about not judging a fish by its ability to climb a tree)... BUT .. We’re NOT all geniuses -NOR should we need to be. For me it’s lacking an essential element of recovery- Humility - while it promotes the terrific concept of not judging others.

For years I thought being in a family of “functioning alcoholics”, married to one in denial and now as mother of my only child. But it’s a common pattern many people face. These talks have helped me to realize that and find some hope for my future dealing with this painful disease.

I really like this app! I can do my housework or drive to work, while listening to a speakers meeting. Even though I have been in Alanon for lots of 24/7’s, there is so much more I can glean. It’s a easy app to use! Bless you for creating this life giving app!!!
