I have been running this app without issue until late July 2019 when an app update caused issues. I reported it and it was fixed. I then failed again recently and for me the application will not launch - as previously. I have deleted the App and reinstalled the App and I am glad to report it now works. Hope this helps others.

10 Dec 2019 Still utter garbage. I click on a secure message and get exactly the same information again. I cannot see the messages’ contents. What is the point of that? Amateur Hour all over again. *********************** Face ID has disappeared. Utter rubbish. **This is how it should work for iPhone X users, as per Santander... “Siri, open Santander”. Count to five, in. Like all AJ Bell web applications, this is badly thought out and terribly executed. Don’t they test these things??? Signing in on an iPhone X is a nightmare. The password field is partially obscured by the keyboard. That wouldn’t matter if FaceID was activated on the app. But it’s not. Nor does Passwords recognise the app, meaning I have to scroll down the list instead of using the ‘top hit’. Even then, the User ID and Password fields randomly depopulate, meaning the process has to be repeated. JUST AWFUL. (In contrast, Santander’s app is a joy to use.) So the app barely gets used. Like I say, don’t they test these things??? 1/10 and that’s being generous.

I was initially unable to make this app work and left feedback to that effect. The developers contacted me and encouraged me to speak to their customer support team which I did. My issue was resolved ( a conflict between the password format I had used and what is acceptable on the App. ) There is clearly an underlying issue of compatibility to be resolved (hence 4 stars not 5) but the app itself is actually very good. Thank you.

In an age where ease of use is taken as read by consumers, the terrible functionality and reliability of this app is a real negative differentiator for AJ Bell. I have no idea what has happened, as when I started using the app in the first half of the year, it was basic but reliable and a fine solution for quickly checking my account. It remains basic, but now barely functions. Genuinely, do not bother downloading. I understand an update is coming- it cannot arrive fast enough. AJ Bell need to get on to this quickly as I can see no solution leading to customer churn.

This latest app works fine on iPhone 10 but would suit me better reintroducing facial recognition like before. Also a bit frustrating that it covers up the password section when typing in. I guess they’ll sort all this out on the next version.
