10bii+ Financial Calculator

It looks like it should be easy to just hit shift and amort and is should bring up the schedule like the one on my other phone. This version is very different, spent time playing with it, looking on line for assistance, and nothing seemed to work. Payment, interest, loan amount, no problem. But something needs to be done about the amort schedule

I was standing at a car dealership getting ready to purchase a car when the batteries on my traditional 10bii calculator’s died!! It was that day that I decided to download this app and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in serval years. I am a financial advisor and am crunching numbers every day in front of clients and on the fly. If you know how to use a a 10bii you will like this one better than your traditional for the extra features that this one offers. I now have the peace of mind of not having to worry about having my special calculator with me in my brief case when I go out on meetings. I think that this app calculator is better than the handheld due to the fact that when you are doing a present value calculation it shows the numbers that entered on the screen for the different variables and they don’t disappear as you enter the next one...and if you need to just change one variable you can see what you had previously entered which is not the case on the standalone handheld calculator. It’s also one less piece of equipment I have to carry from meeting to meeting!

Useful, tho limited functionality with slow start-up, but could be improved with visual cues when the software registers a key tap. First, this is not truly a financial calculator, which is to be expected with such a small screen, but I would describe it as an amortization calculator, not a financial calculator and clearly not a 10bii. The calculator allows you to do basic amortization calculations, which is helpful, though a bit clumsy in use. The visual feedback is very slow - the keys don't visually compress when you press the keys on the software on the watch so it's difficult to determine whether the watch registered your key tap. This is troubling because you can inadvertently tap a key twice thinking you mis-pressed a button the first time when actually the software is just a touch slow responding to the key tap. The software is also a touch slow starting up.

I have the HP 10bii and was getting ready to go buy new batteries. Before doing so I figured it might be worth seeing if I could download an app for my phone and just use my traditional calculator for exams. Found this app, bought it, loved it. Functions the same as my traditional calculator for my purposes, great functionality, and looks great as well.

This USED to be a great app. I used to use it all the time. But since iOS 13 came out, it will not open. I’ve deleted it and reinstalled it a couple times, just increase it was corrupted, it each time it’s still the same. Hopefully the developer gets it fixed. But I have emailed him and have gotten no replies. Apple really needs to pull the app at this point.
