User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
Edit: the issue seems to be fixed and overall this is a great app when working properly. Some sort of error message would be helpful if this issue reappears as otherwise it looks like we need to apply for credit etc to get full access to the app. What's happened to the PayPal app? All activity is missing, no balance, wallet, activity, payments etc.. Now just has 4 large blue boxes with unwanted stuff that I can't seem to get rid of. So, now sorry to say that this app is now useless.
Makes my financial life much simpler. Auto alerts, no additional cost, for each item of activity. I can send money with ease, and receive cash with greater ease. The drawbacks of the PayPal app don't outweigh the benefits by any measurable amount. I can't remember the last time PayPal held funds as pending regarding my account, although once upon a time, that happened with regularity, oftentimes without rhyme or reason. For the past 6 years, access to my funds have been trouble-free! 5 stars.
I liked this app, but two days ago upon opening it to receive a payment I saw that my activity and wallet were not showing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It would not open but just crashed when I tried. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app a further 4 times and it keeps crashing. I only have this problem with the PayPal app and have never had it before, so it is on their end. I would love for the app to work as it is useful, alas. Thank you.
My main issue is that, even after updating, I don't have some of the buttons the help section talks about. For example, I don't have the "Wallet" button. I have to go to the "settings" icon to add a card etc. And I haven't "confirmed" my bank account, however I've been able to use it to purchase things? Very odd.
Huge fee for "instant deposit" on a mobile check deposit. Another huge fee to transfer those funds to your bank account "instantly" (72 hour wait time for those deposits), maybe false advertisement but I'll have to look into it. I've encountered nothing but problems from PayPal. This will be my last time using this "service" and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
