I've been using izettle since 2016 without any issues and all of a sudden it loses bluetooth connectivity and I'm unable to take any payments. I've contacted support without success after trying all of the steps, I am now expected to purchase a new unit..........then I read all of the issues in review with the same problem. Can I connect with a cable instead of bluetooth?

On Android 10 I receive a system message along the lines of "iZettle Go is slowing down your wifi connection by repeatedly trying to connect in the background." When this occurs a speedtest usually concur that this is indeed happening. This needs fixing so I don't have to keep force closing the app. I've done the usual of uninstalling, clear cache/data etc....

Slightly better on Android compared to iOS (AWFUL keyboard bugs on iOS, how how how haven't you picked up on and fixed those) but on Android the product catalogue doesn't work. I've been trying to update the inventory on a product, I cannot find the item on Android, it doesn't appear in search anywhere - If I try on my iOS device using the exact same terms, same account etc, I can find it straight away. Seriously, 1.75% fee for transactions and you can't even implement a robust search function.

Have been using this app and reader for 5 years successfully, in our 6th year now, we have 6 market stalls with new readers and all have Bluetooth connectivity issues, sometimes it can take up to a minute to connect, no good considering you have a line of customers waiting, rang customer services, after a long wait I was told to update the app, but nothing has changed, I can see from other reviews lots of people are having the same problems, we are seriously looking into alternatives.

Do not get this app or terminal in the first place. The connectivity is awful. If the terminal goes into standby, it takes forever to get it back - that is, if it comes back at all. We have had this for less than 6 months and are already on our 2nd terminal as the first one just refused to work after 3 months. After a few months the second terminal suddenly decided that it would only take the payments in the second or even third attempt. Problem is - every time it shows on the customers account as if the money has gone out even though it hasn't, so they think they have been charged twice or three times. And trying to explain to them that they just have to wait 10 mins and it will rectify itself - not good !! So we have finally just given up on this system and asked for our money back - but no, because it has been more than 30 days, they will not give us the money back even though it has never really worked properly. Out of 4 deviced we tried to set up to work with the terminal only one of them worked - sometimes. So all in all - it is great when it works, but it very rarely does !! All I can say is - AVOID AT ALL COST !!!
