User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
Real step back with the new update. The layout is far less user friendly and I am really struggling to navigate the app. Even when I know where I am going, the buttons and items are so tiny I find myself tapping away trying to get it to work. All the key information such a tracking monthly spend is hidden away and takes longer to get to. The spending wheel was the best feature!! Why hide it away!? I suggest reverting back to the previous format as this has not been well received.
The bank itself is great, I love having a separate pot for savings with rounded up spends. I liked seeing the circle of my budget for the month as it stopped me from spending if it was in the minus but unfortunately that has changed into a straight line and I don't think it has the same effect. The app is harder to use now and just don't know why they changed it so much. It doesn't have the same overall effect it had before.
I was a massive fan of Monzo up until this latest update. For me, the interface has become a little frustrating as someone who uses pots a lot of the time. Using them is now an extra click for every action which is frustrating and having seemingly infinite options on where to swipe to see other views is a bit excessive for me. Until this point, I was battling it out with my partner on whether Monzo or Starling was better and, for the first time, I'm actually tempted to give Starling a go.
Really don't want to dishearten anyone but I really don't like the new update. Before everything was so clear and almost perfect, now things aren't as easy to find and it just doesn't make as much sense. I have 2 accounts managed in the app and used to like having to switch between them as it kept them seperate. Hope I get used to it as it's currently a detractor for me.
Used to love the ease of use of Monzo and would have given it 5 stars based on my previous experience. Since the latest update the app is clunky and it takes me twice as long to get to where I want to go. It's not a deal breaker for me as I think the service Monzo offer is great, but I think the new layout really needs a rethink. The old one was significantly more functional.
