User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
Excellent Application... Please provide a list of all those websites or apps that support two step verifications. It will more helpful to people. And please make a backup system, using mobile number based profile. In case, the mobile lost or theft, or broken, user can download a second copy of it. And login on new device, and other will automatically logged out.
Temporary bad rating because Old Brain (I'm Age 83.8) lacked fresh air and misunderstood excessively[?]-concise instructions. Wanted to generate time-based 8-digit one-time-use codes without external comm's. Got asked for two textfield entries. First was for acct. name. Easy, once I realize what that is. Second field, (no "What's this?" ref. to local Help text) simply asked for my Security Key. Baffled, totally. Assumed it was /fixed/ alphanum. Nope. Don't (yet) have a hardware key.
Doesn't have a good new device migration / multiple device story. If you forget to add Google authentication on a new device to an before getting rid of your old one... You're just locked out and now you have to go through support for EVERY ACCOUNT THAT WAS ASSOCIATED. use authy instead. Its setup to back your secrets and sync across devices
Everything is sugar and rainbow bubbles until you need to change phones for whatever reason, maybe you broke your old phone or got stolen. Then you install google authenticator on the new phone and guess what?, you don't get to keep your accounts. This means you get locked out of everything and need to start individual procedures to get your 2FA disabled. If this isn't bad enough read this: some companies won't be able to help you disable it, like Tumblr for example, they can't disable 2FA so your account is lost. I recommend using Authy app, they have a backup option for your accounts.
I really like the app, it does excatly what it should do. But this would be easier if the program would backup the information somewhere (maybe even inside my google account) to make sure I do not have to restart the process once I am switching phone, which happens nearly every two years, sometimes even faster.. Or I am just to blind to find the setting for backup and restore.
