See more dataA simple iPhone, Apple Watch and iPad app to see Local and Zulu time (GMT) or multiple time zones in a single glance. Useful for pilots in getting weather briefings and filing flight plans, or Ham radio operators to do timezone conversions. No more worrying about getting the timezone offset correct or Daylight Savings Time conversions. Easily convert from different time zones, including times in the future or past. On the iPhone: - The Zulu Time page gives a quick view of both Zulu and Local times - The Offset Time page allows you to see Zulu and local time either in the future or past by entering an offset via the Offset button. Tapping either Zulu or Local times will allow you to enter a time in the future or past, synchronizing both Local and Zulu times with that offset. The offset only applies to this view (except on the iPad the offset applies to everything on the page) - The Multiple Zones page allows you to add as many time zones as you wish in a scrolling view. Clicking on any Time Zone will allow you to change it. on iPad: All information is combined on one screen. You have user customizable time zones on the right hand side. On the left, you have Zulu and Local time and one customizable time zone. The offset to see future or past time can be done via the Offset button or tapping any of either the Zulu, Local or Custom time buttons on the left.
User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
I like the app and use it when flying. It would be great if the compilation would show the actual Zulu hour without having to tap on the app on my iWatch to see the actual Zulu time. It always shows “22Z”. Not a big deal, but just one more step when things get busy in the cockpit. It came in super handy for a flight recently though when ATC asked for a position report when I wasn’t in a radar environment. I tapped on the compilation and gave them position info with Zulu times. Also great for confirming TAF’s, METAR’s and ATIS info that are all done in Zulu time.
This app is great, except it doesn’t have the one thing I needed and purchased it for: complications! See, Apple already lets you see UTC time and even includes it as a complication. But in order to see UTC or “Zulu” time in 24 hour time mode, you have to switch the entire clock to 24 hour mode. What I need to do is be able to see local time in 12 hour mode but Zulu time in 24 hour mode as a complication on the same watch face! It’s so frustrating that neither Apple includes a way to do this, and developers haven’t come up with UTC time app that has complications! And if they did, I would imagine they would inadvertently make it so that the 12/24 hour system setting dictates whether the complication displays in 12 hour or 24 hour mode, which would put me back at square one. Please make a complication for this app, and leave the time in 24 hour mode or make it an adjustable setting and not based on the system clock. Thank you!
The phone app works fine, and the watch complication shows the current hour in Zulu time. However, it does not show minutes which makes the watch complication too imprecise for things like aviation. Edit: this is due to limitations in the watchOS API.
For 99 cents the app is ok. Would be worth more and reviewed higher if it could be used as a complication rather than just an app and agree Zulu should be in 24 hour format. Developer mentioned this is difficult to do and keep clock accurate but I rarely need a real time count of the seconds. Make the complication by creating your own time digits, drop the seconds so update once a minute, and options for 12/24 format on local and/or Zulu
I can’t ever get the small widget on the infograph modular watch face to show the right time. For example it says 17Z now but when I tap it, it shows the correct Zulu time of 20:13. This is an Apple Watch 4 and an iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 13.3. Watch os is 6.1.1. Support page has no “submit” or send button or I’d have sent this information privately rather than through a review.
