I really like the game so far! It is super relaxing and the music is rather calming. Viridi is wonderful as a relaxation game to me, because unlike other “idle” games, it is not a chore. I like how Viridi is a calming game that lives on its purpose: It does not add stress to your brain by requiring you to collect, gain, or complete something. You can just sit and relax. Never have I played a relaxing game that does not involve gaining in-game money to upgrade, or do tasks that would have made the game a “chore!” However, I do want to add some suggestions. I am aware that Viridi is only a young game, so I get that there are microtransactions. However, I would like a couple more ways to get succulents for free, maybe by watching ads by choice or gaining free succulents a little more frequently. Additionally, maybe there should be more active pots, despite the fact players can get one for $5. No need to add too many pots, but I would like a second pot to create yet another relaxing scene. One pot is relaxing for me, but not merely fun enough. I would like more than this, but perhaps you can save it for a future update (when Viridi can stand on its own, as there are enough funds). I look forward for updates. Please update, as it has been a while as I noted. I love this game!
Don't listen to all those one-star reviews, Viridi is truly a great game! I love the graphics, the music, and how you get a free seedling every week! There's also a very pretty variety of different succulents you can obtain too! I let out a little chuckle when I tapped on the snail, hit the spray button, and the text at the bottom that normally says "Wow Cute" described the snail being wet Lol. I also like how the succulents actually grow in real time too! And besides, even if you don't like the game, it's free, so you don't waste any money on it. I even showed this game to my mom and she then proceeded to download it as well, and now once in a while we'll show each other our succulents if we want to! Plus, I grow succulents irl too, so that kinda boosts my appreciation for this game! Overall, it's a wonderful and relaxing game, and I recommend it to anyone who needs some relaxation, and/or wants to take care of some plants. Edit: Please fix the bug where you lose progress in the game if you do certain things, such as the time I had beautiful vibrant flowers on all my succulents, but when I returned to the app after a split second, they were gone! This has also happened when I was getting my weekly seedling: I went to try to plant the seedling, and I couldn't put it anywhere, so I had to make room; but when I exited out of the seedling planting interface, most of my flowers were completely missing! Please fix this!!!
I love it. I've been growing real succulents for over a year now and this captures it perfectly. Some may complain about the seedlings needing to be bought but honestly I find it reasonable. This is a free app and instead of spamming us with ads in what's supposed to be a peaceful game, you make the seedlings require real money. That's pretty cool of you. Also I've seen some people say the colors were dull when actually that's the point. Dull, light colors are more relaxing than neon. I have a little suggestion for the future. For some real succulents, you can propagate them by leaf. You could have a "break" option on some of them which then gives it a new status that's "startled" that hinders it's growth and you have to sing to the plant to calm it down. Then the leaf can be in the "your seedlings" section. But that's for the future. For now, try and fix the bugs that you have. I haven't played this for too long, but I'm really enjoying this. Keep up the good work! I'm feeling relaxed every day by this.
This is a gorgeously relaxing app, the succulents are beautifully colored and modeled and the whole atmosphere is incredibly calming. It's always exciting when you first click on the app and watch the time lapse catch up to the current time, plants grow and weeds sprout. The music is throughly lovely and the ability to sing to the sproutlings and snails is incredibly adorable. I love the fact that the little plants can be named! I've named mine after virtues and am considering buying another pot as this one is almost full. The new versions have brought excellent new content and bug fixes, adored the bat that came for Halloween. The new weather changes add to the overall feel of the game. Just last night I clicked the app and was greeted by a little swarm of brightly glowing fireflies! This is one of the most beautiful things I've seen all week and I watched the little lights float around for a long time. This game is certainly a little oasis in the long busy days and I'm looking forward to coming new versions!
I had a very lovely two weeks with this app. My plants were growing at a very nice rate, I watered them, sang to them daily, and took pictures to track their growth. I became very attached to my pot and used it to help motivate me to draw and do other tasks. I loved the app and was ready to spend money to obtain more plants. But then you killed my plants. I opened it up today to suddenly have my ENTIRE pot replaced with a new brown pot that literally just flopped on to my screen. It had my starter plants, but they all reverted to stage one, and the two plants that I had accumulated for free were completely gone. I tried to revisit my original pot, but it didn’t work. My app still had photos of my old plants, but they were gone for good. I am very angry and upset about this, and deleted the app to get rid of those new plants. I’ll redownload and start over for now, but if this happens again, I am coming back to change my rating to 1 star. There’s no reason why all that time suddenly had to disappear.
