Toodledo is a powerful productivity tool for organizing your to-do lists and notes, tracking your habits and making outlines and lists. Toodledo works with Apple Watch! View, add and complete tasks on your wrist. Toodledo is flexible enough to work with many different productivity styles. You can use the popular GTD methodology, or you can use your own system. You can keep things simple, or you can add as much complexity as you need. Keeping track of your to do list has never been easier. Macworld rated Toodledo 4½ stars saying, "...the most impressive element of Toodledo; somehow, it doesn’t feel like “settings overload”—I feel fully empowered to customize the app to match exactly my desired workflow." With Toodledo you can: ◆ Track the priority, start date, due date, time, length or status of a task. ◆ Assign the task to a folder, context or goal. ◆ Flag the task with a visual star or tag it with keywords and notes. ◆ Get audible popup alarms. ◆ Create tasks that repeat on a schedule of your choosing. ◆ Start and stop timers to keep track of time spent on projects. ◆ View your tasks on a map and get proximity alerts when you are near a location where you have things to do. ◆ Search, filter, sort and drill down into your tasks in a variety of ways to see the subset of tasks that are useful right now and ensure that important tasks float to the top. ◆ Quickly find important tasks with the "Hotlist". This smart to do list is automatically filled with important tasks based on a mathematical formula. ◆ Protect your tasks with a passcode. ◆ Securely sync with Toodledo to backup your data and sync between devices. ◆ Imports from Reminders, allowing you to add tasks with your voice. ◆ Share your accomplishments with built in Twitter and Facebook support. ◆ Organize and permanently store your longer free-form notes in the Notebook section. ◆ Make hierarchical outlines to organize your ideas in the Outlines section. ◆ Make customizable lists for any purpose with the Lists section. ◆ Make good habits and break bad habits. Track your progress with our Habits section. Works on all iOS devices. Some features are only available on certain devices and OS versions. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
Just downloaded and loaded in a number of tasks and habits, and already I feel my stress level lowering. Looks like it will be a great app for both habit tracking and for getting organized. I LOVE that the app prioritizes beyond “low, medium, high” and makes a hotlist. The UI feels 10 years old and the app occasionally crashes while making edits, but that doesn’t bother me so much if it keeps me organized. Reasons for lower stars: - I think most folks will dislike the UI and get frustrated with the crashing - I just paid for a one year subscription and then soon after realized this app has not been updated since August 2018, 6 months ago. Hoping I didn’t invest in tech that has been abandoned/is unsupported. - would really like habits and tasks to merge in hotlist (for day of) to keep the day’s habits visible mixed with the day’s tasks - would LOVE if Toodledo could see how busy each day was based on my calendar and prioritize around busy days (if I have a lower level task due on Friday, and Thursday is going to be busy, make the task more urgent on Wednesday) Overall, great concept. Hope it keeps being supported especially since I’ve already invested in it for a year.
Soooo close to giving 5 stars, but just couldn’t due to the outdated design, look and feel. However, if you can get past that, and you should try, this is by far the most user friendly, intuitive, and ridiculously customizable todo app out there, and I’ve tried all the majors. The ugly doesn’t affect the functionality at all, fortunately. It’s like they crammed every single user feature request ever made into the app, yet you can also ignore the 1,764 options in the settings menu and use it as simply and cleanly as you want. Having used Wunderlist for years, then Todoist, I will say that the aesthetics and svelte design of Todoist spoiled me. But it also could not do half the things I really wanted in a todo app. So glad I switched...I catch myself smiling and shaking my head while using Toodledo. It’s just that good, and although it’s not going to win any design awards, the fact that the app almost seems to know what I want to do, and help me do it, really is amazing, and just a joy to use. Now if the devs could just change the name to something I’m not embarrassed to say out loud, and flat out copy the design of Todoist, I would be in To-do heaven. Great job, devs...keep it up! Edit after using daily for several months: Just came back to add another star to my review. Pretty much said it all above, and if anything am even more impressed by this app. Crazy. (Name STILL gives me fits though)
As every other morning, I woke up to an alarm from Toodledo reminding me to perform a task I had scheduled, as I did the task I realized how useful this app is for me. I’m not very teck savy but I’m able to navigate effortlesly. I use the list option to record favorite restaurants or new ones I’d like to visit, same with books I’d like to read, Movies, grocery list and even my bucket list. I use this list to set up tasks and reminders to keep me on track. Recently I started using the HABITS DASHBOARD to keep track of my activities in hope to start an excercise routine to help me lower weight, blood pressure and cholesterol, again I set a task to remind me every day and IT WORKS ! Tasks is the heart of the app, but the flow is on the Notes, Lists, Outlines and Habits tabs. I highly recommend TOODLEDO, I’ve never used support team because the app is friendly and easy to follow. Best to you all.
Maybe I just don’t understand how to use this properly, but this app is terrible and a useless waste of money for me. I come from Informant, where I synced google calendar and tasks from toodledo, but was unwilling to pay a subscription fee to continue using it. I have perhaps 10 tasks each day, one or two new ones, and a few longer term tasks/reminders that I complete as I’m able. At the end of each day I’d select the unfinished tasks and change their due date to tomorrow. In this toodledo app I can find no way to do this easily. I’d need to select each task, one by one, and pick it’s updated due date by hand, each task individually. If I switch to using stars for those tasks and filter my task to those with stars and those due today, I find there’s no option for “those due today”, you have to pick a particular date, so would need to change the filter daily. I just don’t see a way to make this work as a useful task list where a single glance can show you your to-do list.
I keep waiting for this app to have a major shortcoming but it seems like you guys thought of everything. I’m a freelancer going through a major organization overhaul and I’m used to keeping all of my tasks in a million places. I love how involved and yet intuitive this app is. You have to dedicate yourself to keeping it updated and put the initial investment into how you want it set up, but once you do have it customized it’s great. And I can start putting my notes, shopping lists, etc. in there too. If you’re looking for something that can help you track your workdays this is it. It is less of a micro detail-based project app and more of an overarching task app, organizing your projects into to-do lists with secondary notes if you want
