Time

Great looking clock with a cool, minimalist look. On the iPad standing up on the desk, the clock makes a perfect desk clock. The alarm setting is genius: touch the alarm clock icon, and you see gray diamond markers on the inside ring of minutes on the dial. Use your finger to put the hour and minute markers on the time you want the alarm to ring and that's it. In portrait setting, a calendar appears. I would have preferred the weeks to be stacked on top of each other, but this is a minor quibble. Even so, the typeface used for the calendar adds to the stylishness of the screen. Great app!

Have really enjoyed the simplicity and beauty of the clock, and the precision of the second hand. I like the full calendar also. Is it possible to set this as the lock screen Wallpaper? It would look great.

The blurb claims this app will sync using NTP. It doesn' t. It has only one NTP server configured, and either a) doesn' t use it or b) doesn' t notify the user if it' s not available, it' s not clear which. (Note that a careless reading of the blurb might lead you to think this app will synchronize the device clock using NTP. Third-party IOS apps are forbidden by Apple from doing this.) Save your money and install the excellent and fully functional Emerald Time, which is FREE.

I'm using this on an iPod Touch, and it's not responding to any of the change commands except the brightness and darkness. No alarm, no hourly chime, no background color. The clock face is exceptionally easy to read, so there's some value to it.

I know that no application is able to update the device clock, but the description for this app lead me to believe that it did update the clock. Do not buy this if you want the app to update the device clock.
