The Walton & Johnson Show

I have been a W&J fan since 1986, and during my military and civil service years always searched for stations and later podcasts so I could listen every chance I got, so when the app came out I was ecstatic and onboard immediately, even paying for the additional access to hear all of their archives and music library. The app caused me numerous problems over the years, and initially John or Steve personally addressed my concerns, as they had them as well. Then the “Premium” portions disappeared, and frequent issues including the “white screen” came up to cause my listening to be interrupted. Mind you, I have been a loyal listener in Japan, Guam, and all points in between over the years, so not having radio access made the app my number one go-to app. Right now, I haven’t been able to access today’s program, then got the white screen, deleted it and attempted to reload it, but it just constantly shows downloading-no program. Despite the difficulties, I cherish every minute my old friends are on!

Love the show and use the app everyday at some point, even just for a segment or two. My only issue is that it would be nice to have a skip feature. I'm usually listening to your show while at work or even when working out and it would be nice to be able to press one button to move onto the next segment. I know your free app version is set up to cause users to see your sponsor's advertising but for the loyal paying customers it would nice to be able to transition between each segment more easily.

whoever built this monstrosity ought to get a job cleaning parks and never look back. the app is never serviced properly, the ‘contacts’ are non-existent, and the app has had zero content for at least a week and the clowns who presumably charged w&j to build this mess haven’t seemed to notice, or are too dim-witted to fix it. w&j should simply make their podcasts available on apple podcast or another venue. this experiment has failed dismally. I sincerely hope that whoever is maintaining this app finally realize they are incapable, resign, and the job will finally be given to someone who can do it well. Someone who cares and is capable. That would be a nice change. It is reprehensible that people take so little care and so little pride in providing an application that they continue to receive payment for building and maintaining.

We spent many many hours together whether it be in the hayfield, running around town on Saturday night, or just relaxing and drinking beer on Milburn Main Street we had so much fun John or Mike you are gone way too young but you are now in that great radio station in the sky and I will never forget you the memories we have will live forever and I am praying for Cathy and Joni and Roy and all of your family for comfort And I’ll see you on the other side my friend. I love listening to shows like this when I'm driving, and I drive a lot; but that is impossible with this app. Here's what happens: you have to be connected to the same wifi network that you downloaded the shows on in order to play a segment. Once you start the segment you don't have to stay on the network to finish it. But to start another segment after you finish one, you must close the app (dbl click home button and swipe up on iPhones) and be on the same network again. So essentially can't use app away from house.
