The Room Two, like its predecessor, is an immersive and impeccably designed puzzle game. Its greatest strength is that it maintains everything that worked in The Room, and then expands on the ominous world it gives players to explore. First, the controls and interface are perfectly preserved. The player uses the touch screen to examine and manipulate objects and contraptions. Everything from flipping switches, opening lids and handling screwdrivers is done manually via the touchscreen. It makes the player feel like they are unlocking these mysteries with their own hands, and is a critical part of what makes both games so immersive. Unlike the original, The Room Two features multiple locations, each with their own mysteries to solve. This provides a greater variety of puzzles than The Room, with its intricate boxes, had to offer. Each room has its own feel and internal logic, and the puzzles are just as mind bending as before. Additionally, the unsettling notes left behind for the player by their mysterious acquaintance further advance the plot first laid out in The Room. Overall, The Room Two feels like a natural evolution of The Room, maintaining the wonderful controls and eerie atmosphere, while offering up a richer variety of puzzles. Fans of the original will find everything they could want in a sequel, while new players would be best served by first playing The Room. It will help you appreciate The Room Two all the more.

I tried The Room pocket version and really enjoyed it, so I purchased the game when given the option. The graphics, game play and puzzles are throughly enjoyable. My only issue is that when I purchased The Room 2, after playing it on my phone, I went ahead and downloaded it to my iPad. I wanted to play it on a bigger screen, but it will not sync at all. I keep getting a “ Failed to download saved data. Please check your internet connection” I am on my home network, on wifi. I restarted me iPad, deleted the game and reinstalled, then logged out of game center and logged back in. I played the game from the beginning on my iPad, and then went back to playing on my phone, and received the same error message on my phone this time. I tried everything. If it would just sync so I can play on a bigger screen, I would give it a solid 5 stars. It is still worth purchasing in my opinion because it is a really enjoyable game, and have just downloaded The Room 3 and The Room old sins because it is that addictive.

I finally escaped! I am 61 and The Room and now The Room II have been my favorite iPad games. The graphics are amazing, and that is an understatement. This game will test your ability to observe, memory, deductive reasoning, math skills, dexterity and a bit of entomology. It might even test your patience. When a piece of the puzzle is solved and the room spins around to reveal a new box or cabinet or insect on the wall, prepare for tachycardia and palpitations lol. At times I was grateful for the help available by clicking the “?” in the upper left hand corner. I was also glad that the clues given there were not the answer, but additional information to help me find the next solution. I recommend new players check each puzzle with their infrared Lens on the right of the screen. Scan all around the room once in a while. If you get stymied, just close that door and go back to your own room for a while. LOL. The Room II will be patiently waiting for you do you unlock it again.

I didn’t really play the room one, or I just don’t remember all that well, but I have been caught up and addicted with this game! It takes me back to the train, where we had the suitcase and other puzzles before the real ‘horror’ started. When i first played The Room One, I remember the train ride; with the outgoing graphics and that random noise burst in the beginning. I’m not quite sure if this was supposed to be a horror game or not, but parts of it scared the daylights out of me. Or..partially. Anyways The Room Two’s graphic design, cutscenes, and puzzles are all award winning. I recall that when I first got the Room Two, i couldn’t make it past the ship. Now, I managed to finish the game! And I loved that cutscene ending, it made me wonder what happened, but at the same time want to know more and more! I hope I get every game in the next year or so are just as awesome as this one! Maybe better! Keep up the good work!

I started this game immediately after finishing The Room. I was thrown for about an hour of gameplay, and more than mildly disappointed because the first room or so were so terribly and painfully easy, not to mention boring. However, it's only a way to teach those out-of-practice how to grasp the game mechanics, and beyond those two levels the game goes from "okay" to "better than most AAA horror and puzzle games". I got chills, I felt like I had to work for the puzzles and the answers, and this game is absolutely GORGEOUS. The graphics themselves are w-o-w and that is without mentioning the theater-worthy cutscenes. I really can't rave more about The Room Two without seeming repetitive, but there's no aspect of this game or this developer that finds itself lacking. I can't imagine having a better gaming experience. 6/5, would play again and again and again and again and agai
