See more dataSo you're on a hill, but have no clue what the hills you are looking at are. Take your iPhone or iPad and with the camera viewfinder bit, Take A Peak will somehow, with GPS, tell you what the other hills are called, like with small text above the hills on your screen, brilliant right! Take A Peak uses augmented reality combined with a database of over 500,000 locations from 193 countries to display the names and other info about the hills, mountains and peaks around you. A terrain map view is also included. The map view provides detailed topographical information when zoomed in. Zoom out to view locations of mountains and hills all around the world. Swipe to pan around. Various settings and filters are available through the preferences page.
User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
This app immediately comes up saying there is a compass error (Incorrect Compass Heading). I have many mapping apps that don't seem to have any issue whatsoever, so I'm blaming this app. I followed suggestions on the FAQ and everything they suggested was already done or enabled. App obviously needs work. I the meantime, Peak Finder works great
