The first ever Video App with a prompt Save/Delete feature and Stabilization toggle switch for attachment lenses! Being able to shoot, edit , and post 4k videos all from your iPhone is amazing. Getting the message “Cannot Record Video” while filming is not. I can’t say how many times that message has wrecked one of my shots. You can always try to delete videos as you go. But that is a pain going back and forth between filming and deleting clips in the camera roll. This usually causes me to accidentally delete one of the good ones and all is lost. What if you could immediately decide after filming a clip, to either “Save” the video to your camera roll or “Delete” it? This feature would solve your Low Storage issue and would also eliminate the burdensome task of sorting through clips at the end of the day. This is just one of the unique key features in the design of the SM2App. By saving only the clips you want, not only are you keeping your storage usage down, you are also stream lining your editing process. What about those after market Lens attachments for your phone’s camera? They look cool for photos but if you try to film with them, there is this weird, shaky effect. That is because there is no way to turn off your phone’s camera stabilization causing this wavy shaky effect. The SM2App has solved this problem too by installing an ON/OFF toggle switch feature on the preview screen. By having this feature, you will be able to switch between a long shot and a fisheye lens with ease and come out with perfect video footage. How to use - SAVE/DELETE window - After you stop recording, a window screen will pop up asking you to either “Save” the video clip to the camera roll or “Delete” it. ON/OFF Toggle Switch - For long shots, turn the toggle switch to “ON” (green indicates on) and “OFF” when using an attachment lens like a Fisheye or our SM1 or SM2Lens. STORE LINK Logo - The logo on the bottom right is a hyper link to the Skidmark Store which contains camera equipment for your iPhone. Thank You Skateboarding I would like to take this time to say that skateboarding has truly changed my life for the better and I am forever grateful and blessed to have gotten this far. The SM2App is a “Product of Skateboarding”, but the best part is that everybody can benefit from this app. Special thanks to Casey Meyer and Jeff Cathers from CM Software for helping with the development of the #SM2App. Why is this great app for Free you may ask? I am giving this app away because I want the whole world to use it! Whether you are a world renowned videographer or a beginner just trying to make an Instagram clip, with this SM2App, you can now make great videos with ease, using the unique features of this app. For support, please visit the SM2App Support Pages on my website and check out the camera products I have for your iPhone at skidmarkskatemag.com
This app is simple and sensible. Huge space saver, and works like it says. No weird symbols, pop ups, ads, or tricks of any kind. Its seriously 100% absolutely free. It films just like your phone camera: auto focuses no problem and films vertically or horizontally. Seems too good to be true. It's like someone thought about what would be good for skateboarders and just handed it to us for free. Highly recommended 👍
The app is great. However, I did find a few things I don't like. 1.) There is no rotate feature - I do not always use a handle when filming and I personally prefer to hold the camera tilted to the left. In the app you can only tilt to the right which causes clips to get cut off because my fingers sometimes slide over the lens. 2.) No tap to focus - you cannot tap to focus. This means you are relying on the app to focus and sometimes it does not. 3.) No brightness adjuster - same as focus but just on a brightness scale 4.) You can't review clips in the app - this means that in order to look at a clip you just shot, you must go to the camera roll. It would be way better if there was either a "rewatch clip" button, or a "go to camera roll" button after filming clips. - Jake (P.S. Like I said, I like the app and will continue to support it. However, I would like to see some of these improvements in the future. It will make the app much more user friendly, and it will probably be used more which will promote Skidmark Mag, and the SM1 handles)
Epic so far! Being able to choose save or delete is awesome so I can toss out the bad clips when they happen. I usually spend hours going through all the little clips I take because I don't have time to stop and delete them after it's already saved. Being able to delete them first it's pretty awesome! Keep up the good work guys! Thanks for saving me some GigaBytes..
I'm filming all the time on my phone for work; almost daily; and often on my skateboard... I could notice what a difference it made in the first video I recorded... no complaints at all. There is really not much more to say other than this works EXACTLY as described and I wish I didn't waste my time with other apps; this one is it!
I always hated having to review my video in order to delete it when using the iPhone's camera. This apps solves that problem. Not time wasted in between runs. I use a wide angle and a fish eye lens, and image stabilization is essential when filming skateboarding. This is the app I always wanted !
