Slow Shutter Cam puts an end to mere snapshots and gives you some of the most powerful features of a DSLR camera. All this, in a package that fits in your pocket. Slow Shutter Cam offers three capture modes to capture unique images: MOTION BLUR: Equivalent to the shutter priority mode on a DSLR, the Motion Blur mode is perfect for creating ghost images, waterfall effects or suggesting movement in your photographs by adding a blur. LIGHT TRAIL: The Light Trail mode allows you to 'paint' with light, show car light trails and fireworks or capture any other moving light in a unique way. Unlike shooting with a DSLR and being tied to specific rigid settings to obtain good results, the Light Trail mode takes care of the essentials, letting your creativity soar! LOW LIGHT: In low light conditions, this capture mode allows the camera to accumulate every photon of light hitting the sensor. The longer the shutter speed, the more light it will accumulate. You can even fine-tune the result using the exposure compensation slider to achieve the exact effect you want! Highlights: • Unlimited Shutter Speed and manual ISO • Option to resume capture • Real time live preview - See the result in real time • Innovative 'Freeze' and ‘Blur Strength’ controls • Tap to adjust focus/exposure • Time-lapse Intervalometer • Apple Watch support and handy Self-Timer • Full resolution support on every devices With Slow Shutter Cam on your iPhone or iPod touch you get the features of a DSLR camera with the convenience of a device that you can drop in your pocket and take with you wherever you go. I’ve been using this app for years now — it’s my all-time favorite app (and I’m an app junkie). I never write reviews but this one deserves recognition - heck, I keep it on my tool bar. This app has loads of professional controls (I don’t profess to understand them all but they are a lot of fun to play with). It takes fantastic (and forgiving) selfies — set the self timer and intervalometer, stand in front and just be natural... talk, dance, be still, whatever. The creative possibilities of this app are endless.
Love the app and use it a Fair amount as I love motion blur and light trails. Here the thing though...I really wish I could take several shots, and go back and edit them later. I miss out on some good action because I have to shoot, edit, save, and clear the image before I can take a second shot. Solving that would be awesome. Maybe it’s something they could put on a future release. Or maybe that capability is there and I’m just too dumb to find it. Would also be cool if it didn’t think I wanted to compost every shot. Could you make a setting that clears the shot after saving or something?
This is my favorite long exposure app for motion blur and light trails. I often use with a tripod for silky water shots. My settings workflow brings up the editing tools for adjusting brightness, contrast, saturation & hue. Also the freeze position can be set at any point along the shutter exposure. I have other apps that take long exposures but editing before saving is why I use Slow Shutter Cam. One of my favorite techniques with this app is intentional camera movement. Watching colors and shapes “paint” across the screen is magical.
This app continues to impress! They have kept up with the times, and made this app current. Many times over!! Now it’s just been updated for iOS 13. Great app that’s simple to use, with good online documentation of instructions. The app works great. No crashing no issues ever, that I’ve experienced. Had to come by and leave a review for this long lasting ,relevant ,great app..buy the paid version, worth it.. like I’ve said already I’ve had it for about 8 yrs.
Love this app. A few summers ago, I could either afford a fancy digital camera or a plane ticket to Taiwan from a neighboring country where I was working. I picked the latter, and armed myself with my iPhone 6 and this app. I got such amazing pictures! Love the slow shutter for water blur effects with a tripod, and how the night camera lights up my images. It remains one of my favorite trips, and this app helped me capture some of my favorite pictures.
