Sky Sport Now

The new version is so much better than the previous, being able to watch events from the prior twenty-four hours is a massive improvement. However, the user-interface is still probably the worst of any Apple TV app. Trying to navigate to what you want to watch is infuriating: why would the program guide default to what I was watching two days ago, rather than to the current time and date? Couple that with a near impossible way to navigate to a different time/day, and you’ll find yourself screaming at the tv for a few minutes before getting to your program. When/if the user-interface gets fixed, this app will be great, because the picture quality, buffering issues of previous versions have all been dealt with.

Massive improvements made across the board with Sky Sport Now especially the Apple TV interface update. Bugs and buffering issues have been sorted.

It’s ok, the app works pretty good on phones but as soon as I cast to my Sony tv with built in cast, it is awful. Constantly freezing an going, freezing and going. Makes it really hard to watch games and this is my main way to watch sport so it’s no ideal. They have told me they don’t support tvs with built in casting, which I find hard to believe but that must be right, get with the times sky, what new tv doesn’t have built in casting now.

Way better than predecessor - FANPASS. Have watched a lot of sport using sky sport NOW on AppleTV 4K, iPhone and on my MacBook Air. Great HD picture and very reliable. I can remember only a couple of occasions where the picture did freeze and I had to refresh the browser on my MacBook or reload the channel (if I was using Apple TV). Other than that, very reliable and easy to use. Happy with my subscription - great value for money imo.

The refresh rate when casting for live sports is poor, staggered picture and ball etc I am using a Chromecast Ultra on fibre 5g so no issue at my end. Their helpdesk is pathetic- best advice is to turn Chromecast on and off!!! Have asked for contact details other than email and no reply. Had a friend try this servuce and exactly the same issue with slow refresh rate.
