I believe this game is the best mobile representation of skating. I love how all the in-game locations feature real skating locations. The controls are fairly easy to use, especially if you have played the EA Skate games. I do believe, however, that this game can be vastly improved. First, having only three locations is fairly annoying. I get pretty bored fairly quickly because I’m so familiar with every location. Furthermore, I believe having a fisheye angle of the game would be a great feature to have. You can do this in the recording feature; however, switching to this mode gets rid of some features and ruins the normal gameplay. Finally, the skaters style is a bit ugly. When I land cool tricks, I’m often not impressed because nearly every trick is hideous in the game. I think the character is a bit too stiff and his hands/arms move a bit too much. Other than these small details, the game is extremely fun and beautiful. I would recommend this to any skater that needs to fill their EA Skate void.

.......then there was nothing left to do. All in all, I really enjoyed this game. There were a few buggy things with the controls that routinely annoyed me, but not enough to keep me from coming back. However, it REALLY REALLY REALLY needs more cities. It didn’t take long to achieve every goal in the “Free Skate” and 3 stars in all the challenges. I was really hoping that more cities would become available after accomplishing everything there was to accomplish but no. Now I’ve got over 12,000 credits but nothing to spend them on (sorry, not interested in upgrading my trucks, wheels, nor even the board graphic because you NEVER see that level of detail...might as well sell underwear upgrades). Were there more cities/challenges, I would give this game 4 stars. It often times doesn’t recognize that my thumb is on the “push” button (after having taken it off to do some tricks), which results in a loss of momentum that can make all the difference in a race or when trying to clear bigger sets of stairs. Highly annoying. If they’d fix that, I’d give it 5 stars. Lastly, this game is the only reason why I’m paying for an Arcade subscription so I’ll be canceling before the month rolls overs unless more cities are added. (I mean, there’s a whole map of the world laid out on the “cities” page and there are plenty of famous spots all around the world so why stop at only 3?!)

So i really really like this game but... it needs some changes. First i would say that you should earn in game credits in higher amounts as the challenges become more difficult and require more upgrades. The challenges should increase in difficulty as you compleat them per map starting with #1 as the easiest and getting harder as you compleat more challenges. When you go to/buy a new map the difficulty needs to reset with the easiest starting at 1 again. As i mentioned before, skate cred (in game currency) needs to have a progression in amount you earn when completing harder challenges. This is especially important seeing as YOU made it necessary to upgrade your stats to compleat harder challenges. This way of getting through the game is fine for a mobile game as long as the amount of skate cred you earn increases alongside the higher cost of upgrades and cosmetics. Good game but i would take these things into consideration. Sorry if it was long and wordy. Thanks.

I haven’t had my meds yet today so who knows, but I want to like it so much more than I do. Should there be a definitive, unit-moving, paradigm-shifting skateboarding game on iOS? You bet. Is this it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Like you can’t even customize your guy or your deck or anything off the bat. You gotta do dumb stuff you already know how to do except arrhythmically to earn space bucks, and is that really all there is to it? If I wanted to move my fingers in one of eight different directions and pretend I was a big boy at the Moving Horizontally To The Right party I could save myself a lot of trouble by just getting a tech deck. If I seem mean it’s only because, like I said, I just want it to be good. I want to love this thing I really do. But I think maybe I just love the idea of it. Good enough for $4.99 a month I GUESS but time is money and I’ve got monsters and creeps to stab in the face and neck babey

Game keeps getting stuck in the tutorial when it says tap the button to pop out of the grind. No matter how many times or how hard I push the button it wants me to game just sits there. The button keeps pulsating and the music keeps playing so I know the game isn’t frozen. I know it’s not my phone cause the button that makes you go is in the same spot and that works. Using an iPhone X. So after writing this review I decided to try the game on my iPad and I figured out what’s wrong. Keeping the one star cause this is such a big oversight it blows my mind. So what I was doing is when I came to the grind I would jump and trick on it and the game didn’t know what to do cause what your supposed to do is ride up to the grind till the game made you jump onto it then ride it then you can jump off. I don’t know if it’s just me but in a skating game if I see a grind I’m gonna try and jump on it. This seems like something that needs to get fixed.
