scream  Why to reply to reviews?

User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.

This is what I need for my apple watch. Keyboard is very cool. I have been very sceptical about Alphabetical layout but I am using it with no problem and it is better than qwerty. Response and fix about some bug from developer was quick. I appreciate it. Thank you and keep your app alive!

All this app does is that it opens iMessage with text entered via ABC keyboard. This isn’t bad for beginning, but I would appreciate more apps to target the text or at least more layouts than just ABC keyboards. Also, I’m unable to enter characters like question mark at the end of the message.

This app is what I was looking for (apple watch). Now only for iMessage and messages. Texting is comfort. I would like to get Access to test version 👍

Shift Keyboard Description
3974 chars

Shift Keyboard provides you with a fully functional keyboard on your wrist. Just install the Apple Watch app to get started!

*As featured on 9to5Mac, Cult of Mac, AppAdvice & iPhon.fr*

Everyone is already used to typing messages on their iPhone with a keyboard but there is no built-in solution for Apple Watch. This is where Shift Keyboard provides you with a solution. The perfect alternative to Scribble or Voice Dictation already on your Apple Watch, the Shift Keyboard app adds a full keyboard to your wrist.

STYLE

Shift

Keyboard supports two different keyboard modes: Full or Precise. The Full keyboard adds a standard full size keyboard to your Apple Watch with no scrolling. Precise adds larger keys but spread out over a greater area to ensure maximum precision when typing - especially useful if you have larger fingers!

LAYOUT

On the Precise keyboard, you can choose between three different keyboard layouts: Alphabetical, QWERTY or AZERTY. The Full keyboard supports QWERTY or AZERTY. Choose whichever fits best for you!

AUTO COMPLETE

Shift Keyboard will suggest completions to the current word you are typing. Tap on a suggestion to replace the current typed word with the full suggestion. Great for improving speed on the small screen! Access all suggestions by tapping the ellipsis icon next to the first two suggestions.

KEY PREVIEWS

On the Full keyboard, you'll be able to see which key you are currently touching - just like the traditional iOS keyboard. Simply drag away to cancel adding that character if it's not the one you were after!

OTHER CHARACTERS

Shift Keyboard has full support for adding symbols, numbers and other special characters.

EMOJI

Unlike the built-in Messages app, Shift Keyboard supports adding an unlimited amount of emoji to a single message! Simply select the emoji you’d like to add from the emoji picker and it’ll be appended to your message.

MESSAGE PREVIEW

Before sending your message, just tap the text field to view a full preview of your message.

SENDING

Shift Keyboard uses the built-in Apple Messages app on your Apple Watch to send messages to your contacts. Type out your message, tap the send button and you’ll be taken to the Messages app with your message ready to go!

HAPTICS

Choose to receive Haptic Feedback on actions like key presses and button actions.

COMPLICATION

For quick and easy access, you can add the Shift Keyboard Complication to your Apple Watch’s Watch Face. Just tap and the keyboard will launch.

GESTURES

Use a swipe left gesture for backspace or a swipe right for a space for quick typing. Full keys for both of these functions are also available too.

AUTO CLEAR

After typing out your message and sending to a contact, you can choose to automatically clear the keyboard so you don’t have to clear it yourself.

SETTINGS

Customise Shift Keyboard your way. Access the Settings menu by using Force Touch on the keyboard and you’ll be able to change options like Haptic Feedback, automatic clearing of messages, keyboard type and Auto Complete.

APP STORE

The Apple Watch app can be installed without the iPhone counterpart. Just head to the App Store app on your Apple Watch and search Shift Keyboard. Full instructions for installing & troubleshooting can be found in the iPhone app.

KEYBOARD EXTENSION

Shift Keyboard is also available on your iPhone. Install the iPhone app and follow the installation instructions to start using the keyboard in all your apps on your iOS device.
