User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
I’ve subscribed annually for years and without fail I can count on the site not recognizing me as a subscriber numerous times during the year. Refresh App Purchases? Nothing. Remove App and bring it back? Nope. When I try to call to fix it, no one at the site can or will help and I am referred in a round about way to Apple. Good luck to anyone trying to fix their access if it is ever interrupted. This frequent glitch should be an embarrassment to the owners of this app.
So I noticed a charge showing up on Apple for this site about 4 months ago. I was able to login but Not able to get into the paid content area. Sent a request 2 months ago to find out why. They said my account was inactive. I sent another email telling them I was getting charged through Apple. They told me to call Customer Service. This customer service rep didn’t even know which newspaper this site belongs to. She told me that someone above her pay grade would call me back. Crickets. I emailed them again. This time they told me to send hard copies to a PO Box. Never heard from them so I emailed again. This time they said send hard copies to a different address. Fugeddaboutit!
I bought a one year subscription in January of 2018, since then I periodically get locked out (at least twice a month). Typically, if I shut my iPhone down, and reboot, that will do the trick (and I can again get in). But not always. I just canceled, after getting locked out again. I should have gone month to month. Frankly, by the time you post an article on this bizarre app, I’ve already read it on Twitter. To anyone thinking this is a good way to keep up with Packers news, save the money. Twitter is far more efficient, with no lock outs.
The app has always been inconsistent. At times it would not accept my password, but a hard reboot fixed it. Since the last update it won’t accept my password at all. Customer service is nonexistent. The phone number goes to the newspaper who doesn’t handle the app. The in app help doesn’t work. The in app email address doesn’t elicit a response. Since the update about two weeks ago this is a useless app for me. On an iPhone 7s with up to date OS.
I have the same problem as another reviewer. I have an iPhone 7 that is up to date and haven’t been able to access reliably since about October and not at all since early December. Have had periodic issues for the entire 3 years with the App not accepting my password and now it doesn’t recognize my account at all even though I paid for the annual subscription in May 2017. I have tried contacting all possible entities about the issue and not one response. Canceled my auto renewal today.
