Majong Games

Very disappointed with the latest update a specially with Towers. Have been stacked on level 21 for the last month and can’t move forward. Have tried 3 times to delete the app and start again. All goes well until I get to Towers 21 and then it’s not coming out! Strangely the same happens to my husband’s Towers - stuck at level 21. Very frustrating!!! Thinking about deleting the app for good.

I really like this app; I play Four Rivers the most and visually, it’s really well-designed - unlike some of the other Four Rivers or Majong apps I’ve tried, the tiles are clear, you can see which ones you’re selecting, and it’s clear when you make a pair. It’s fun to play. BUT some of the levels are literally NOT possible to complete because of the layout of the tiles - i.e. there are NO possible paths for certain pairs. It’s actually unplayable by level 40, and you can’t go back to previous levels except by deleting the app and reinstalling. I don’t know if this is an oversight or actually intentional to make people PAY for shuffles because you would think they could use an algorithm that would place the tiles 3 moves away from each other?! If they fixed that, this would be so great! One other thing: I wish they would use the tile design from the Four Rivers in the main Majong game - the ones now are badly drawn and really difficult to see at a glance.

I’ve completed Four Rivers up to level 50, but it now keeps presenting impossible tile layouts. Don’t buy shuffles - I previously managed to solve the infamous Four Rivers level 40 down to two matching tiles, but in impossible positions. I’d gotten close before and used my original shuffles to no good use. However I thought getting the legendary level to this stage warranted doing what I’ve never done before - pay for additions in an app. I bought 5 shuffles at a cost if £1.99, the shuffles were a waste of money as it didn’t change the location of either tile (I’ll be requesting a refund.) I’ve been playing Majong for years and this one is ok, the tiles are nice and clear, but I do not like being cheated by taking money fraudulently. It’s quite addictive but not as difficult as some others platforms. Sorry but you’ve ruined something good in the pursuit of money..!! Don’t go chasing the completion of levels by buying shuffles.

I have been playing this for two or three years now and have been through most levels of each game at least once. For the most part, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. But the new tweaks which have just appeared are maddening to say the least. I can play quite happily without having a ‘bird house’ telling me which level I am on!! Please, please, please go back to where it was before

As many other reviews have said - an addictive and satisfying game. BUT ... also like others I was stuck at Level 40 on Four Rivers for ages - only got through by sheer persistence(!). Levels up to 50 were then much ‘fairer’ but now - at 50 - you have virtually no chance of getting a board that it is possible to complete without buying ‘shuffles’. Looks like it may be the end of the road for this particular game. :-(
