I am very thankful to be introduced by a friend from China few years ago while I was struggling to use other inefficient translation and dictionary apps. Since I got this I have been using it everyday. I specially love the dictionary part has many sample sentences and very accurately show you what “the” word can means. As an international student pursuing degrees in an American university I still found this dictionary powerful and helpful in my everyday life as it was in the old days. I keep learning English as one of the important courses that never ends. And I can tell that this dictionary is improving itself like I do. Even though I wanna complain about the limit use of the advanced dictionaries unless you pay and become a VIP.
I use this e-dictionary for many years. It has several most important dictionaries and can help user to increase the volume of vocabulary. I like the design of the interface and other functions as well. And even more this is a free app. I recommend English learners to use this app as much as possible.
In the app, they will ask you whether you like our app. If you tab like, then they will jump to this review page and waiting for a good rating. However, if you tab no, they will just pop up a text box and ask you to put the feedback. Basically they pre-filter the users with high satisfaction and mislead the unsatisfied users to some where else. I would say that’s a hidden smart trick but users don’t like it. They will feel they are fouled and it will ruin all the good feeling on this app. Please don’t try to play this trick and it doesn’t worth it.
I've been using it and seeing it grow over time. It's no longer a dictionary app to me, it my mentor in some sense. There are too many situations I need a quick translation and I can always find youdao helpful either by direct lookup or as a starting point that leads me to other more useful places.
