Bubble Island 2 - Shooter Game

Ok.. I very rarely write reviews; nine times out of 10, most games on phones annoy the crap out of me. At least, eventually! ;-) However, this game is really unique, ridiculously fun, and more than satisfying when you beat a level! I love how you can go back to previous boards, which are now changed in various ways to make them more challenging than the first time you played them. I should also say I never spend any money to play games – however, this one has had me a little affected! 😂 where I was seriously sad to run completely out of lives! Honestly, my only beef would be that looking over the PRICES of coins and such, and special effects to beat really hard levels — the prices for such things within this game are exorbitant. I IMMEDIATELY abstained from purchasing any! All in all though, great game! Cannot believe this is not more well known!

I enjoy this game, it’s one of the best bubble games. If I play for a few minutes. The challenges - the ones where you don’t lose your progress if you lose a round - used to be my favorite. But the past few, I get to the last level and can’t win it. Worse, I’m sabotaged by not getting the right color bubbles. The last one I needed one shot to win, after using all my power-ups - but when I paid for more bubbles, I got all wrong colors. Lame! They should want us to win free lives, so we’ll play more - not make it impossible to win. Also when I get daily rewards, much of the time is taken up with getting through screens before I can actually play. And last time I got 15 minutes infinite lives, I didn’t claim it immediately because I had to change laundry, but it started the countdown anyway; when I came back and hit “claim,” it said I’d already claimed it - and over half the time was gone. I do like replaying the games at higher levels. It allows more enjoyment for each island. However, some of the higher levels are too hard; they require nearly impossible moves to win! And, too often I get near the end, and am only given bubbles that don’t match the ones I need to pop. With some tweaks, it could be much better. But I’m tired of the issues. I don’t like games that aren’t fair.

Seriously a great game of the genre. You don’t feel inclined to spend and it’s challenging and fun. My biggest beef involves having to unlock new areas by completing more “challenging” versions of the same levels. That’s not a bad premise, the issue is that the difficulty is clearly based on biased RNG. The “challenge” is that you simply get less shots of more applicable colors. It’s lazy and frustrating. I hope people stray away from spending to compensate for that kind of lazy game dev difficulty...it’s a nice game and rather friendly when it comes to difficulty. But if you play it regularly you’ll easily see how RNG is against you, and completing against it is imperative to unlocking more gameplay.

Loved this game. However, after the last update the app became glitchy. When watching an ad to gain a power or spin the wheel the app would freeze and not allow me to exit out. The only thing I could do was to go to the App Store to download the game in the advertisement or to close and restart the app. Game is super easy to understand and play however the power ups were costing to much. I don't mind spending a dollar here and there but there were a couple levels in which you would need the extra shots or power ups to get that last item/goal to win the level. You need to have other ways to get gold coins and lower the cost of extra shots and powers. After being stuck on a level for the last two days to get the beaver to build something I ended up deleting the app because I did not want to spend any of my own money to get that extra shot.

To the point: when you do half of the events you have to win games consecutively to get to the prize. At the beginning of each game you can get a free boost if you watch an ad first. But then the ad doesn’t always work! The ad will just completely black screen and freeze the whole app, then you have to back out of the app which makes you lose your progress. I’ve had this happen too many times and I used a whole lot of boosts to get to where I was. None of them were refunded. So I messaged Support and they just gave a generic responses that sometimes that happens with their ads and they’re working on it. I replied a few times and it seems like I got a template response. They didn't help at all or even offer to refund my boosts. Worst game customer service ever.
