I never write reviews but this deemed necessary. I love the OT workouts but this app and communication with front desk staff led to me being charged extra for a class without being notified of the charge prior to booking. Some of the classes I attended never showed up in my app under “my attendance” because apparently I canceled the class when actually I was there. So there were a few classes that I attended that were not recorded in my app. I had attended my 8 classes for the month but it didn’t show it in my app, it only showed 6 because the front desk staff counted me as missing 2 of my classes when I was actually there. Since it only showed 6, I thought I had 2 classes left so I was trying to squeeze my last few workouts in for the month. So as I thought I was going to my 7th class for the month, it was actually my 9th but when I signed up the app never promoted me that I had already booked my 8 and that this class would be extra. The OT staff had it it their records that I had attended the classes but it did not match it on my app. This is very frustrating as a client as I would have never gone to that extra class if I had known I already been to my 8. This is part my fault that I didn’t write them all down but I assumed that the app would keep track of my classes even if I “missed” them. So for anyone using this app, make sure to write the classes down you attend somewhere and don’t rely on the app to keep track of your attendance. Thanks.
This App is terrible. I go to a few different studios depending if I’m working from home or in the office - there’s no way to see all your scheduled classes at once. I like to plan my OTF schedule for the entire month so for scheduling purposes, I have to keep track of my classes by toggling between the different studio pages on the app and there’s no easy way to get an overview of all classes booked. Also, I have the unlimited membership and the app will not allow me to book a waitlist class. When trying to book waitlist the app will ask me to “buy services” - there’s no services to buy; I'm already paying for he most expensive package! I’m sure you can just call to get on the waitlist, but what’s the point? That’s just another thing to remember and to manage outside of the app. Another annoyance is that I can’t book a if it’s a day passed my bill cycle. So if my billing date is 1st of the month, I can book anything for 2nd of the month. By the time the billing goes through all class for the 2nd of the month is all booked up and I can’t join waitlist! Suggestions for app developer(s): 1) allow comprehensive overview of all classes booked for all studios, 2) fix bug that won’t allow us to book waitlist - we should be able to book anywhere at any time especially for unlimited memberships, and 3) allow us to book passed our billing date and if payment doesn’t go through auto cancel our classes passe the paid cycle.
I almost never write a review, but for $130/month, I’m writing one for this terrible app. The studio I now attend is not my “home” studio and several times I’ve been prompted to buy a class when I switch between studios. I’ve been told several times by staff that “the systems don’t talk to each other.” How am I suppose to use my membership throughout the country when the app can’t even handle me going to 2 different studios within 3 miles of each other? There’s no point to the app if I have to call and schedule my class. The app and the entire orange theory computer system needs a serious upgrade. I called this morning to schedule a class because the app is, yet again, useless- I was told that they can’t see my complete attendance record because that’s not my “home studio.” Can I change my home studio to the one I now attend the most? Nope, not without completely canceling my membership and therefore losing my introductory rate I received when I signed the contract. I really enjoy these classes and all the instructors I’ve had so far, but I (and other customers, considering the app has terrible ratings) are not going to continue to pay premium pricing for a workout class that can’t spend the money to upgrade to a modern system. Ridiculous.
Tried to log in with the temporary password they gave me. App says, hey, we notice you already have a MindBody account, please use that login. Use that login, app says my user name and password are no good, and eventually locks me out after several tries. Try to reset password, but no password reset email is sent. Try to log in through the web site, but the main page doesn’t even have a place to log in. Call the studio. They reset my password and guide me through drilling down to my local studio page, where I can log in with the new temporary password. I’m in. But I can’t book any workouts. And the new temporary password doesn’t work in the app either. It still wants my MindBody login. I go to reset the password on the WebSite. It sends me an email to reset my, wait for it, MindBody password. Which I do. But the app rejects my new password too. I’d like to log out of the web site and log back in to see if the new MindBody password is working there. But the web site doesn’t have any apparent means to log out! The gal at the studio said someone would call me. Still waiting. This is some sad, sad, sorry tech.
If you have automatic debit for an unlimited plan it doesn’t matter-the app will still force you to buy additional services if you want to book a class for after your billing date a few days before your billing date. For example, today is 9/16 and my billing date is 9/17-I was able to book a class for 9/17 but not 9/18 or 9/19 and these will undoubtedly be filled up by the time I am able to book without paying extra on top of my unlimited membership. So this is clearly horrible. Also for unlimited plans, we have the freedom to roam among all studios yet this app, despite having a stand-alone “my classes” link, still forces you to search and individually click into each studio location to view whatever classes you have booked. So for a frequent business traveler like myself that bought the unlimited specifically so I could go to any OTF gym, I can’t view that I have a class booked for Weds in Jersey City, NJ and a class booked Fri in Austin, TX on the same screen. Thumbs down all around. This app desperately needs a major upgrade.
