Okta Verify

I love that my company is integrating two-factor authentication on our accounts, but the fact that I had to install, uninstall, and reinstall this app for a twenty minute period to get the registration link to function with the app was an extreme annoyance. If Okta’s registration links actually functioned with the app once the app has been downloaded - the first time - it’d be a lot easier to handle. Push notifications also don’t always allow access as they are intended to. Maybe this needed some extra time in beta.

Used to be a great app. However, with the new build and a phone reboot, Push notification no longer works on my phone, and more importantly, on my watch. **** - Update. Upgrading this to 4 stars from 1 star. Shorty after I submitted my original review, the developer contacted me in order to troubleshoot the problem with the app. After trying several solutions, nothing worked. However, recently, it just started working again. Thank you for reaching out to fix this problem.

My company makes me use this app to log in to practically everything. It would be nice if when you tapped on the notification while your phone is unlocked that it took you directly to the approval page of the App, instead of the home screen of the App. Either that, or the buttons need to be moved so the “Add Account” Button isn’t in the same spot as the “Yes” and “No” buttons are on the approval page. I’m constantly hitting the “Add Account” button when I intend to hit “Yes” because it opens the main page first. Drives me nuts!

After resetting and restoring my iPhone, I found the app becomes totally useless. It asks you to scan the barcode which you will never get since you need the push verification before getting barcode. It is a dead loop!!! This kind of workflow shows how inconsiderable the app designers are and I will strongly suggest my company to withdraw the deal with OKta. Image you cannot receive an important email outside the company network due to the mistake from the third party app. Everyone who sees my comment please suggests your company to end the business with Okta because OKta itself hurts business.

I love the phone app portion. It’s my go to source for my company sent push authorizations as well as my password manager OTP. I love that I can approve from my watch. Which leads me to the reason I gave this app 2 stars. The watch app is awful. You only get the first OTP. And that ONE that you get, or at least that I get, is cut off with ellipses. So in short. The OTP portion of the watch app is useless. It would also be nice if it was formatted to fit the Series 4. If they can fix this problem, this app would definitely be 5 stars.
