The app is easy enough to use but there have been two instances in the past 5 months when my checking account was debited twice when making my monthly payment. In July, I scheduled one payment - but my checking account was charged twice for the same amount. This week, I scheduled one payment - but my checking account was charged twice for the same payment. Both times TFS refunded the duplicate transaction but for it to happen twice is aggravating. Customer service rep this week said to delete the app and download a newer version. I have done that so hoping that solves the issue.
I’m so happy with my recent Toyota purchase. However, not so happy with this app. These days many people, including myself, do everything on there phones. The days of mailing in checks to pay any kind of bill are over, or at least close to it. Would be nice to see the developers at Toyota put a little more time into this app. Not user friendly at all, not very informative, I can’t set up auto pay. It would appear I have to go on the app to manually make payments. Every single other bill I have automatically withdraws whatever they need from my account, along with giving me a reminder a few days before. I think Toyota should follow suit... other than that a few minor glitches need ironing out, some text doesn’t disappear when signing up for the app. I was writing my name over words that were already there. Slow to respond, even though I’m on my 5g WiFi with full bars. It’s a good thing whoever designed this app doesn’t design your cars, which are great btw.
The app is nice and convenient but I get tired of having to update the app EVERY month when I pay my bill!! It kind of defeats the purpose of having an app that is convenient for paying your bill...!! Update Sept 10th. The last update works very well!! The finger print option was very convenient and the pay options were very fast. Working good... so STOP UPDATING!! The app is working... May 5th. Another update and another plea to STOP UPDATING THE FREAKING APP!!!!!!! EVERY MONTH I have to update the app before I can pay my bill. How much functionality do you need this app to do??!!!! All I use it for is to pay my bill... you need to find something else for this person to do because it is obvious that they are bored and have nothing else to do... it’s absolutely annoying.
I suspect that the same thing has that has happened to others happened to me because of a faulty app. I made a payment earlier this month using the app for the first time and it’s a good thing I checked my account today because apparently there was a “Payment Reversal” four days later but posted for the same date I made the payment. No explanation, no notice. So now I owe backpay and the next month payment. The website shows I made the payment and that it’s approved, but that I still owe the backpay. I actually made another payment using the app today, but then immediately cancelled it—I’m really hoping that works—and then used the website instead. I’m too wary to to use the app anymore.
First months payment was a mess! Tried contacting someone over phone and was unable to connect to someone. Had to drive to the Toyota dealership and my financial advisor assisted and even he was frustrated . I was told the those behind this app that I would get a call from IT. Like I suspected I got no call. My account is still not set up because of their glitch that they tried to blame on the Toyota advisor and myself and now I have to go through the struggle all over again this month. Please fix your app as soon as possible . This is really frustrating and though I love my car the complication and glitches in this financial service system is making me look at Toyota in a negative way now .
