I have had this app downloaded since I was maybe 15 weeks pregnant. Since my placenta is in the back of my uterus, I have had no issues feeling my sweet baby boy move since 15 weeks or hearing his sweet little heart beat with this since 23 weeks. I am now 30 weeks and I can find his heart beat every day with this. It’s very good and I’m happy this is free because I didn’t want to spend $60 on a doppler. I totally recommend this app to any pregnant woman who wants to hear their sweet bub. I would suggest waiting until around 25 weeks to make sure you can actually can pick up the heart beat, but don’t be discouraged if you don’t at that point. The app suggests you wait until you’re between 30 and 40 weeks and I have had no difficulty finding his heart beat now that I am 30 weeks. Earlier it was a little bit difficult. Make sure you use airplane mode when you’re looking for the heart beat though and that you’re in a quiet room.
I decided to purchase this app at 3 AM because I’ve been worried since the baby wasn’t moving. I was afraid I tore my placenta just the day before doing house chores. I’ve been worried all night and waiting to call my midwife in the morning. I decided download this app since it had pretty good reviews and I needed to get some peace of mind so I can go back to sleep and I actually heard the baby‘s heartbeat! And I feel him move around again because actually this app woke him up I think, lol. Definitely five stars for giving me peace of mind so I can go back to sleep now that I can hear the heartbeat and feel the baby move.
I initially thought this was the coolest app. Think about it, it lets you listen to your baby’s heart beat. But as the baby grows, it gets easier and easier to hear her/his heart beat. The reason I give this 2 stars is because the sound quality is terrible. Instead, if you’re in the upper 20 weeks and later, have your partner put his ear up to your tummy and listen for it. It’s possible you will be able to hear it with your own ears. And also try using the iPhone Voice Memos app and record it (butting the mic right against the body with mild pressure). You will be surprised what you hear through that app, especially through earphones. Of course it depends on how much body fat is on the mom’s body...
From the moment I found out I was pregnant I've wanted to listen to my baby's heartbeat. My husband talked me out of buying a Doppler because he said I would freak out if I couldn't find the heartbeat. I downloaded this app today hesitant to whether it would work and it took some patience but I found it in about 10 minutes. I may not always be that lucky but I like this app so far! I'm 19 weeks along. 5 dollars well spent even if it's the only time I get to hear it from home.
We love the app ! I downloaded it for her to try and it did indeed work ! Just the idea that we can finally save the recording is amazing ! (I also played around with it and saw that it was relatively easy to find my own heartbeat too) But make sure to listen to the samples so that it's easier to understand what exactly your listening too and what sounds you're looking for.. Im pretty sure my daughter downloaded it on her phone too now 😜!

My Baby’s Beat offers a beautiful way for you to bond with your baby during pregnancy. Listen to the fetal sounds in the womb, hear the baby’s heart beat and be as close to him/her as possible.
With My Baby’s Beat, you can hear your baby’s heartbeat and other fetal sounds in the uterus, and you can do it at
home, at your own relaxed environment with just your mobile device. You can record the fetal sounds and share it with your loved ones.
“My Baby's Beat” was the first app to pick up fetal heartbeat sounds using a breakthrough technology. Since it was launched in 2011 it kept improving and constantly maintaining its lead in both popularity and innovation. Since 2011 it has been used by over 1 million parents worldwide!
Unlike a fetal doppler or other fetal heartbeat monitors, My Baby’s Beat requires no special accessories. It uses the microphone of your mobile device to pick up the sounds in the uterus and the fetal heartbeat.
Finding the baby’s heartbeat is sometimes a challenging task and requires time and patience. For best results we recommend the following:
* Use My Baby’s Beat on the 3rd trimester of your pregnancy, as the baby gets bigger, and the fetal heartbeat sounds is stronger and easier to find (best after 30 weeks).
* Follow our help section, watch the tutorial video and listen to the sound samples to know what to expect.
* Contact our support with any question or inquiry, we’re here to guide you and do our best to help.
The app does not use any communication such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular. It passively uses the device's internal microphone to pick up the sounds, therefore it is recommended for use in airplane mode.
