See more dataThis app is built as part of an IRB approved study on stuttering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. We built modulated auditory feedback modes that change the way participants hear their own voice while speaking. In a previous study, we demonstrated that such transformations help improve fluency in the short term, and we now want to test the effect longitudinally. We are recruiting people who stutter who first need to sign a consent form and are then being sent a unique user id (uid). Participants are then asked to download the app and enter their uid to unlock the app's functionalities. We ask participants to use the app once a day for a period of 30 days. Participants are being informed that the app doesn't record audio but log when the app is being used and on which setting. Once a week, participants must use a platform on the browser to measure variations of their fluency. User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
